Don't want to be negative. The Tigers won! I am ecstatic! However, I have never seen an infielder at any level make so many wild throws to first base. His throwing errors could have cost us the game if it had been close.

I think it’s more mental than physical at this point. He just needs to relax and throw the ball without thinking so much.

He’s a freshman and these are big moments in big games. He’s been better defensively this year than what was expected so that’s a good thing.

to me it looks like he is spiking his plant foot on the throw and making his release point incredibly unstable and inconsistent. I am no mechanics coach but as a guy who grew up playing 3rd base that is what sticks out to me when I see him throw

He has been pretty solid for a freshmen, a couple just got away from him

He just figures if he throws them in the same area code as Morgan there's a chance he'll get to it.

That's right. The infielders think they can throw it within 10 yards of Morgan and he will catch it.

I think he heard the hype of him having the strongest arm ever at LSU and he’s overthrowing and not trusting his mechanics. Not every throw has to be a bullet… none of those plays were bang bang… he should’ve just made a nice, easy throw.
