re: OK ... So what happened with Kramer R,? - drdrfaulkner
I think he deals with Grayson all next fall right behind, in the end I think Grayson can take over at SS. Sort of reminds me of Austin N. with the tall sort of lankiness, but I think he will fill in and possibly be another Nola type SS. Cannizaro seemed to beef the kids up this year a little ...

re: Interesting College Football Rules Changes - drdrfaulkner
"A 15-yard unsportsmanlike foul will be called on players who push or pull opponents off piles -- for example, after fumbles."
We will be the first team penalize for the scrum rule
Actually, that was already called a few years ago at the end of the Capital One Bowl--Penn State ...

re: Chavis is senile - drdrfaulkner
The LSU teams need to learn to dominate, not to play "just good enough" to win. A great coaching staff will instill players to play their best--even in games that don't seem to matter--so that there is no question as to who has won. There are some times you can't dominate--but you can play your best...

re: Jim Hawthorne retiring in 2016 - drdrfaulkner
I thought no one could replace John Ferguson--and I still believe he was the best LSU has had, but--whether errant or not in some calls--Jim has been the "lighthouse" guiding a lot of us to LSU broadcasts over the years. Here in Central Florida, I can (faintly at times) pull in WWL and monitor what'...

re: Jim Hawthorne's calling of LSU Basketball games - drdrfaulkner
Was just a part of LSU sports. I haven't had to listen to him in a good while, plus it's not as easy anymore living in Florida.
I live near Melbourne, Florida, and can pick up WWL (in spite of a little interference from Hispanic and other stations). Whether or not JH is positive or no...

re: I honestly think Leonard Fournette can win the Heisman if we feed him enough.. - drdrfaulkner
What would be really interesting is to have Fournette and Brandon Harris as 1-2 in the race. Of course, I am dreaming again--I might be awake when the recurring offensive nightmare happens again......

re: Steele was not fired at Clemson - drdrfaulkner
From what I read, the offense in the last game he coached as DC fell completely apart. It was a complete team fail--the defense did give up over 500 yards, though. Everyone is pointing to that as a black eye, but that is one game out of many. I have a "wait and see" approach, but I will cheer 100% f...

re: List of LSU DC Candidates to date...can you help me list them? - drdrfaulkner
Another couple of questions: 1. How many of those listed were either given better contracts and/or extensions as a result of their names appearing on Tiger Droppings? 2. How many administrators actually read Tiger Rant or Coaching Changes to see if any of their personnel are being considered?...

re: les would burn the clock out instead of score - drdrfaulkner
Perhaps running up the score at that point was Urban's way of indicating what dominance OSU had in the game. The score could have been far worse than 42-20....

re: Shelf life of coaches these days - 5 years, what's too long 10 years - drdrfaulkner
2012 - Out of it by early November
Had LSU beaten Bama that year, they would have possible gone to the SEC Championship game, so I differ that the team not making it was totally on the shoulders of Les Miles. I seem to remember some other factors that played in the mix. ...

re: so what happens if harris wins the job - drdrfaulkner
I get the impression there is some sort of strategy going on in the mind of Les Miles and the LSU Admins that--though it doesn't make sense right now--will in time. Perhaps this season was a testing for something greater to come--or there was some trimming down that needed to occur. Chavis took the ...

re: My best case QB scenario - drdrfaulkner
If Harris redshirts next year and comes into his own the following year--her might forego his senior year and bolt for the NFL. Don't count on "two years" if he redshirts next year. And possibly--it is not safe to even count on any if he redshirts....

re: My best case QB scenario - drdrfaulkner
All this talk of adding OSU QBs is a little obnoxious to me. First, LSU recruits Harris then lets Jennings start. Harris has ONE bad game (Auburn) and then doesn't play much for the rest of the year. Jennings has several mediocre games and they leave in. I just wonder if Harris's weaknesses are stro...

re: Who is your favorite team to go for besides LSU ? - drdrfaulkner
College Sports (in order): Besides LSU: 1. USA Jaguars 2. USM 3. Anyone who plays against FSU as long as there are players on the FSU team who get away with sexual assault. 4. Anyone who plays Notre Dame (with exception of #3 above). Pro Football: Saints and then whoever has former LSU play...
