Early injuries in camp seem to have scared people off

Andy Reid RBs eat but at the same time he ain’t loyal to em if the injury bugs pops up. Whoever has that job will be fine

Wouldnt worry about Hyde until Williams gets hurt

Williams has never been a workhorse, and doesnt have a game over 15 carries in his career... thats the concern

if you invest a 2nd round pick in Williams, you need to reach for Hyde because:

I don't love the talent of Williams and would stay away if there were a legit threat to his job on that roster. He's dominated the reps with the ones since coming back

Hyde just isn't very good and Darwin doesn't seem like he can handle a full load.

People are way too focused on his time with the Dolphins and not enough on how he produced last year on a good team with a good offensive coach.

In the 2 playoff games, he scored 26.4 & 32.6.

"In 12 of the last 15 seasons, Andy Reid’s RB1 has finished top-eight among running backs in fantasy points per game. No other head coach or offensive coordinator comes close."

From the athletic’s Chief’s beat writer
quote:

Analysis: The only certainty with this group is that Damien Williams is the starter. Carlos Hyde is not on the roster since he still needs to prove that he’s capable of making the Chiefs’ offense better. Hyde’s two rushing attempts for two yards, albeit with one touchdown, against the Bengals didn’t reveal much. Hyde can find his way back on the roster with a good performance against the Steelers. And the group welcomes Smith, the kickoff returner who will get more attention from Reid in the regular season after switching from cornerback early in camp.

Like I said, there’s really no threat to Williams currently on that roster

Dam Williams or Fournette. PPR?

Leaning Williams just based on Reid’s RB production

talent I'd go LF but situation leans DW, which is more important when it comes to RB

in a world where LF could stay healthy, he has top 5 upside. I guess it also depends on how your roster is looking, Damien is a safe double and LF is a swing for the fences type.

Ya, key words, "points per game".

'15: Charcandrick West replaced Jamaal Charles
'16: Spencer Ware replaced Charcandrick West
'17: Kareem Hunt replaced Spencer Ware
'18: Damien Williams replaced Kareem Hunt
.......
'19: Darwin Thompson replaces Damien Williams?

I like him but I don’t think he will be a top 10 RB like some people seem to believe

That's Darwin?? Damn son. Where would you be comfortable grabbing him Gyno? I don't draft for another week and think his ADP will sky rocket

I think I have Damien at RB14 or so. The upside is undeniable, but the lack of pedigree and prior production do worry me some.

Think you can get him in the 12th rd or so. If you get Damien I’d make him a priority

That offense has turned Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West to nice options. But like others have said, Reid won’t hesitate to kick Williams to the curb if hurt.

If you get him you got to snag Thompson.

You need to own that backfield in case Williams goes down, ton of fruit there.
