Vs. Miami FG percentage was 30.2 and 1/12 from 3

Vs. Iowa FG percentage was 54.3 and 11/17 from 3

I still look back shocked at how bad we shot vs Miami versus how great we shot vs Iowa. It’s just so drastic! But of course you want your best game to be the title game and sure am glad it was!

It’s why the foundation of your team should be built on rebounding and defense. That shows up on the court every day. Offense comes and goes.

Think I heard the balls were overinflated in the Miami game. Or maybe I dreamed that

Mulkey straight up said it. In the halftime interview maybe it was.
Something was going on. Neither team could buy a bucket. It was painful to watch.

Iowa made the decision that they would sag and not guard the perimeter, just like they did with South Carolina. We had the mindset - unlike South Carolina - that we were going to shoot it if they did that, and we did.

Strange thing is, if we would have played SC and shot like that from outside, they wouldn't have beaten us either. I think that was going to be the game plan if we had beaten Tennessee.

ETA: still ridiculous that we lost 2 games and ended up as a 2 seed, when 1 of those games was away at the undefeated #1 team in the country.

I meant 3, I don't know why I put 2. My kid's home from school early and she's driving me batshit.
