re: LSU basketball fans...Is Johnny on the hot seat this season?
Posted by IrrationalMeltdown on 12/18/16 at 9:00 am
Everyone's on the "hot seat" at LSU. No exceptions. The AD, president, all coaches, their mothers, the players, the students and the fans. We are all on the "hot seat" according to tRant.
We need a new buzz word for about to be fired. ...
re: Evaluating Harris/Etling, the "Les(s)" effect from a broad scope
Posted by IrrationalMeltdown on 12/2/16 at 2:00 pm
The difference is Harris has all the tools, but doesn't have the knowledge to use them.
Etling has a few tools and can build a mansion.
Also I think you're fundamentally wrong on what a QB should be. ALL good/great QBs are game managers in there particular offensive schem. Some have to be more...
The arm of Jalen Hurts. It's like everyone thinks that his arm is bad. The problem is that he's a PURE FRESHMAN.
You sound more like LSU fans did last year with Harris. Guess what...... it never happened. As of right now Hurts is a good running back that can throw the ball ok. Nothi...
She is probably better in bed than she as a sports commentator.
What's funny is she's played as much football as the OP has.
It doesn't matter what any reporter says. LSU will always be guilty in the court of public opinion and Florida is going to ride this long past their loss t...
re: Should the SEC consider extending an offer to Tulane or LaTech?
Posted by IrrationalMeltdown on 10/10/16 at 4:00 pm
I'm currently a chemical engineering student at LaTech. The administration at Tech doesn't care about athletics. The schools focuse is strictly academic and won't let anything take away from that. Im surprised the football program is as big as it is. Also Tech doesn't bring anything to the table. It...
re: LSU fans: If Orgeron won the rest of your games, do you think
Posted by IrrationalMeltdown on 10/2/16 at 8:02 am
He would have to beat every team like Missouri including Alabama just to have a shot.
The fans my love him but the boosters want a big name like Jimbo or Herman. ...
re: Cam Cameron will be a hot commodity as more openings happen, right?

Fired from both. Maybe not so impressive. I'm sure Southeastern or McNeese would love to have him. ...
GeauxLSUGeaux
I'm not saying he's going to coach a top power 5 team. Im saying if he wants to coach, there are schools out there that would love to have him. At this point in his career he's not doing it for the money. He just got a 12.5 mil go away check. So there are programs out ...

I think you've overestimated the amount of good coaches out there. If he wants to coach, he will. LSU is pissed because he had 9-10 win seasons. Just remember there are schools out there that are happy to go .500 and be bowl eligible. ...
re: Why can't we run effective screen passes more often
Posted by IrrationalMeltdown on 9/23/16 at 6:56 pm
Because we just got a QB that can complete a 7 yard pass. ...
re: Etling the starter from the get go.
Posted by IrrationalMeltdown on 9/18/16 at 11:16 am
BH ended the year at starter. You can't just replace him in the offseason with a transfer. Not in Les Miles' kingdom anyway.
This is why Les is a good guy, but a bad coach. Saban would have yanked BH on the second drive against Wisconsin.
Didn't know Etling had a back injury. ...
Etling the starter from the get go.
Posted by IrrationalMeltdown on 9/18/16 at 11:07 am
Why wasn't Etling the starter from the get go?
He seems to understand the offense and can read a defenses better than BH ever could.
I know BH was Les's guy, but the coaching staff had to have seen Etling fit this offense better. There's no way he just slipped threw the cracks unnoticed. ...

I've been going to LSU games since I was 5 and I've never heard anyone yell out racist comments at the game. I've heard the occasional ...

No they just took a note from Bamma and threw all his stuff in the trash...

So does that mean they all cheered for Les and the coaching staff when they scored on the next three drives without BH. Does Les get credit for putting TW on the punt return?
I'm pretty sure they were booing BH. He was sucking up the place. Not saying he deserved it, but they were booing him. ...

You have to let us know what your definition of gifted is because my definition doesn't mean stare down your receivers, throwing into double/triple covarge, and overthrowing 10 yard passes. ...

He is literally 150 lbs bigger than everyone out there. I would have hated to have to block him.
I did like the few plays where he just tackled the whole backfield while dragging the blockers.
