Does anyone even sniff in Miles' direction? I mean its got to look really really bad on Les if O comes in and finishes strong.

I guess someone would still take a chance on him, after all, his record is pretty stellar.

That all depends on how fast Ensminger can transform this offensive scheme

CE-EAUX needs to go 8-0 to keep the job.

He would be working for free if he does. Whatever he makes at a new coaching job is deducting from his annual payout.

If CEO goes 7-1 or 8-0 I think the job is his. How forward thinking is Alabama in hiring Sark who would possibly been Coach O's OC.

This team will go 4-4, maybe 5-3 if they are lucky. You have blinders on.

You switched from pumper to negative quick. Please follow miles to his new school. Ban bet they go better than 4-4?

You do know LSU could still hire Sark as an OC, right?

It is not like he is an indentured servant. He can take another job.

If he goes 8-0 with Alabama, Arkansas, A&M, Ole Miss, and Florida all still left to play I say give him a year to hire a good OC and see how he does. Our defense is already good, he can recruit better than Miles and if he just hires a good OC and lets him do his job its an automatic upgrade.

Yeah there's no way Les will be able to get another job coaching after a 114-34 record and national title while competing in the sec. May as well apply to Burger King.

I think you've overestimated the amount of good coaches out there. If he wants to coach, he will. LSU is pissed because he had 9-10 win seasons. Just remember there are schools out there that are happy to go .500 and be bowl eligible.

At 7-1 or 8-0, I think he would have earned it.....they won't just give it to him

I'm neither a negatiger or positiger - I just don't have this sunshine view of how this team has the greatest cast of talent in the NCAA.

Those schools aren't getting as much talent as we are, they don't have as good of defenses as we have, and any coach that goes .500 in their conference division multiple seasons in a row will get sh*t canned if those other two things I mentioned are up there. Especially if they are getting top 10 coaching salaries or even top overall coaching salary period. We are 100+ in scoring offense with and OC that made over 1.2 mil a year.

I'm not saying he's going to coach a top power 5 team. Im saying if he wants to coach, there are schools out there that would love to have him. At this point in his career he's not doing it for the money. He just got a 12.5 mil go away check. So there are programs out there that would take him.

Sweet Mary, step away from the records for a second and look at the dysfunctional product we have been seeing on the field. Have you seen anything to make you think Les would do something different at another school? We weren't going to win 9 games this year and after another mass exodus for the league next year, the rebuilding excuse would be back in effect. He would have a tough time going .500 anywhere with his most recent version of a college offense (and ST).

As for the question the OP originally asked, if O goes 8-0 or 7-1, he will get serious consideration.

ETA - not responding to you Geaux, just copied quote from your response.

Too many mouths up top can't stop from talking. Brando called it out a couple weeks ago that Miles was gone and Orgeron in as they had the Auburn game circled. Saban's clonies here in Louisiana can't help but to open their mouths at inappropriate times. There's not much forward thinking when you have the right type of "buddies" willing to spill the beans at the drop of a hat.
