Ski resort recommendations

Looking for a luxury resort preferably in Colorado. It's a 7-9 day family trip. We're looking for a hotel with multiple f&b venues on property, ski in and out, etc.. A resort that also offers ice skating, snow tubing, snow mobiling type activities.
Having a hard time locking down places because there is so much out there and it's a lot to read through.

Vail Village. OT baller status required.

You cannot go wrong with Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. I recently stayed at this property (in the off-season when its cheap) and the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. Both are 5* luxury but I would personally recommend the RC over the PH. Over ski-season rooms are $1400ish at the PH and closer to $2K a night at the RC.
In Park City, there is the St. Regis near deer valley. If Utah is an option then the St. Regis beats the RC imo.

Good call. Ritz Carlton also has a slopeside location at Beaver Creek that is incredibly convenient and nice, but the food options will be limited.
In fact, finding a ski in/ski out condo with multiple dining options could just be logistically difficult.

The RC has 2 restaurants. Plus they have a cigar room and evening hors d'oeuvres include S'mores by the fire pit. Really cool. PH has the S'mores as well but only 1 restaurants.
Btw, needless to say, all of these properties have their Ski concierges and their own gondolas that either bring you to the base of the mountain to get on the next gondola or directly to the top, depending on the property.

Thanks everyone. I'm also looking for a place that has something of a downtown. We used to go to Tahoe but we were looking for something more resort-ish (?), but with a downtown for restaurants, shopping, and etc. Kind of have it narrowed to vail and telluride. So far both have been much more $$$$ than Tahoe. Like the RC as some people have mentioned, Vail has a Four Seasons or The Arrabelle in Vail Village. A room for our family of 3 could range from $7k to $14k a week. I'm still checking out options, but I'm leaning towards Vail Village right now. Any tips, recommendations, or info?
We're going for a week in January just after the holidays.
Thanks again

I'd suggest Vail, plus that's when I'll be out there (5-9) . The downtown area of Vail has a lot of restaurants (specifically remember a fondue restaurant from like 10 years ago), plenty to do on the mountains, and the rest of a normal ski town.

Beaver Creek or Aspen for sure. Vail is middle of the pack.

Was in Vail last week, if you don't book within the month it will be booked up.
Copper Mountain is not bad, right down from Vail.

You prefer Beaver Creek Village and Avon to Vail Village?
That's crazy to me. Other than 2-3 places in Avon, the food alone is enough reason to drive to Vail.
Not hatin. You are the CO resident after all. Just surprised.

The food isn't anything spectacular in Vail, unless you go up to Game Creek Restaurant for dinner. That place is great. I think for what they're looking for, staying in Beaver Creek/Bachelor Gulch would be better to look at. Since they have kids, they could always hop on over to Vail for a dinner and drive back. Vail has it's advantages over BC (back bowls), but that's really about it. It's usually as much of a clusterfrick as Breck with long lines and too crowded runs if you're skiing the front side, even the backside on powder days.

Take a look at Crested Butte, did my first vacation there this past March.
The best part of the mountain, not crowded. All activities are there
Skiing - Awesome
Snow tubing - Free in town and pay on mountain (magic carpet lift)
Snow tubing - every resort has some near by.
Ice Skating - In town.
It is split into 2 areas, town of Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte. They are about 3-5 miles and free shuttles run between them constantly. You stay and ski at Mount Crested Butte and dinners/shopping at Crested Butte. Plenty of amazing restaurants there.
I have done Vail, Breck, Squaw, Heavenly, misc Northeast, etc., I would be hard pressed to go back to one of those over Crested Butte now. Well I never will go back to Vail, was not a good trip.
You have to fly into GUC though, from DEN it is a long drive. Airfare will run you more.

I second this. Had a blast there last year. It is more affordable/better priced than the others listed.

If you are set on Colorado I'd say Breckenridge, but I think Park City is easily the coolest ski town I've been to. Lots of things to do downtown.

Telluride. really can't beat it. Vail is crowded af

Ya to avoid the crowds, in CO at least, Telluride, Crested Butte, Aspen, and Steamboat are all excellent choices you can't go wrong with. They just cost a little more money and/or time to get to, but worth it for a week+ trip for sure.

Snowmass is the best for ski in / ski out
Telluride and Crested Butte are both great. I like telluride more.
Steamboat is also nice. The terrain isn't difficult. great for intermediate skiiers and beginners. but also good back country on the other side of the mountain if youre into that

I wouldn't do anywhere of the easily accessible I-70 resorts. Too many front range gapers like ColoradoAg. Do Steamboat, Crested Butte, or Aspen. If you want to shred the deep stuff and be around far fewer people, go to somewhere in south Colorado like Wolf Creek or Purgatory

OP, also keep in mind NOAA has a La Nina watch up. If it ends up being a full blown La Nina season, for CO, it means the northern mountains generally do much better than the southern mountains since the jet stream is predominantly dropping in hot from British Columbia/western Canada into CO from the NW.
