MSY is an apocalyptic clusterfrick

All entrances into and out of MSY has been paralyzed by jazz fest and poor planning. Airline hwy was screwed too.

Generally speaking I find MSY easier to navigate than most airports. I can understand why the 1st day of Jazz Fest would be the exception.

It's worse when you are making a trip and there is zero parking anywhere.

It is often complete chaos, due mostly to the terrible traffic flow through the terminal areas. Not having any secondary drop off points served by sidewalks is just dumb.

I've found the long-term parking at the airport always seems to be full, so I end up in the $10 lot for 5-7 days

Can anyone traveling today give an update on how it is today?
I usually roll in about 45 minutes before takeoff....(only carry on, ticket in hand), but thinking I should add an extra 30 at least today from jazz festers heading home.

Well that's not even remotely true. But, it is definitely outdated and not set up for the post-9/11 world.
