If you have only two days in Tokyo, I’d skip the Imperial Palace grounds. This is a high-volume tourist spot and takes a while, and while it is a nice park, you will see much better versions in Kyoto. I’d recommend spending one day in Shinjuku and Shibuya and the other in Taito and Ueno ...

I’m fortunate enough to be well-travelled, and Hong Kong is my favorite city in the world. Definitely consider it! It’s veey westernized and you won’t need a visa. Mandarin and Cantonese aren’t necessary...

I’m very jealous of your plans! I went to Japan last month and Vietnam in 2015. Here are my recommendations;

Thank you! I went to Istanbul in 2014 and there were lots of riots then. Perhaps too radical now already.
Japan is my first choice but worried since it will be high 40s. Morocco may be my front-runner now...
