What's the best way to get a flight?

Once you land in Denver, what's the best way to get from there to the resort (uber, taxi, shuttle, rent a car?)

MSY to DEN nonstop on Southwest, Frontier, or United. United has switched to a bunch of basic economy fares so you're going to pay out the arse for a checked bag/seat assignment/etc. Frontier usually has good deals, if you can get one cheap enough including all the add-ons like bags you'll still end up ahead of southwest.

In denver, the best shuttle i had was colorado mountain express. Last winter was supposed to fly into vail, but i had a horrible day of flying and only made it to denver. The workers there were laid back and had shuttles running about every hour towards the vail/beaver creek area, very helpful and would highly recommend!

Is it worth skiing Vail for 1 of the 3 days? I've never been to Vail, and it's by 2nd time at BC

Absolutely. Went last year for the first time in about 10-15 years and had a blast skiing the back bowls. The days we went were powder days up to my hips, plenty of terrain to avoid long lift lines

Hey Guys,

Going to Park City for the first time the 3rd week in December. We're staying in the Downtown area one street off of main. Any recommendations on a rental store in walking distance? Needing the skis, boots, and helmet package.
Also looking for good restaurants and bars if any of you are familiar.

My 2015's delaminated last year in Whistler. Blizzard sent me these for free

Same boots I've had for a few years. Love them

Love the Bonafides. Will probably be buying a straight powder pair soon though.

I want to get the blizzard Cochise. Never been on it but it won a ton of awards and looks great.

The armada JJ 2.0's with the llama on the top sheets look awesome.

My good friend is building his own pair right now. I have to say I'm pretty impressed so far. As soon as he gets them finished I'll post a pic.

Daily Driver: 186 Blizzard Peacemakers - fckn love these skis. I will be purchasing more Blizzards in the future.

Touring: 180 Rossi Soul7s w/ Dynafit - love them in the spring corn. I need new tech boots tho.

Pow: 188 4frnt CRJs - big, surfy planks

Other than that, I have a random assortment of free/cheap skis I've acquired in my quiver that probably will only see a handful of days. Dynastar ProRider Legend XXL, Rossi E100, a few others.

I have a sweet pair of LibTech PBR skis I got for $32 last October.

Alright everyone, looking for suggestions on the best place to go skiing the week of December 4th. I know it's early in the season so some of the big places may not have much snow yet. Just saw big sky got 2 feet overnight plus I've never been up that way, could be a nice trip. Went to vail last january and had two awesome powder days, but doesn't look like CO has had much snow so far this year. Any recommendations are appreciated

Pac NW and Canada have getting pounded and look to continue getting snow storms through mid November. I’d look that way. Check Jhole, Big Sky, Bachelor, Whistler, Banff, places further north. Those areas probably a safer bet for more open terrain than Colorado or Utah that early. Keep an eye on Tahoe area too. Follow Opensnow if you aren’t already, but try to go where the most snow is falling.

Jhole, Big Sky

Just looked at jackson hole's site and they've had 79" already this season . Big sky's base cam also looks like several feet plus it's still snowing. Will check with friends and see if Jhole or big sky works better in a week or two, but getting excited for a few days of skiing

Skied ABasin yesterday morning. Great coverage up there already and the snow was nice and soft. It was my first day on the hill this season, and probably the best conditions I can remember for day 1 of a season for me, especially this early in November. Even though they only had 1 run open top to bottom, it skied real nice, pretty much like mid season. The storm that just passed through laid down a couple of inches each day this week, which made it nice and soft.

Gonna head back up tomorrow and get some afternoon bluebird laps in at ABasin on my way to our Frisco house. Catching Breck opening day Friday am with some friends then coming back home in the afternoon. No way I want to deal with Breck/Keystone/Copper opening Sat/Sun .

Won't know til Friday. You can probably get a decent idea looking at their mountain cams, to see what kind of coverage they have after this last storm. Doesn't look all that great right now. They posted today that Springmeier will be open, but listed no other runs. Hopefully they announce by tomorrow afternoon that another run or two will be open Friday besides Springmeier.

Only the top half of Keystone's frontside will be open. People will have to take the gondola back down to the village to get off the mountain. Pretty much 2 runs down to mid-mountain load Montezuma lift is all that will be open. That sucks.
