Have you ever done snowcat skiing in steamboat? Going to Steamboat twice this year and will be skiing one day with steamboat powder cats.

I haven't ski'd with the Powdercats, but they are a solid group. I have snowmobile ski'd in their territory up on Buffalo Pass.

Buffalo Pass always battles Wolf Creek as the SnoTel site with the most snow each year. Amazing skiing, and great terrain.

You won't be disappointed. Hopefully the snow and storms line up for you when you go with the Powdercats!

I have. If you catch a good snow, you'll have the time of your life.

Hell yea. We are doing the level 3 so we are hoping for some pretty intense runs. Hopefully Ullr will abide.

Where is that Cosmo?

This early snow has me so amped for our trip to Steamboat in December. My wife is getting annoyed as we go to Disney the last week of this month but all I talk about is how I can't wait to go snowboarding, haha.

Arapahoe Basin.

Never thought I'd be able to recognize ski resorts from pictures, but I'm getting good.

I am headed to Denver Nov 10 - 13. I think this will be too early to try and ski. Do you think something might be open at this time?

I'd like to do all three just to get the experience! But I will probably stick to the resort that has the most snow i think since it is so early in the year.

I will look into there and Breck. I am meeting a friend in Denver. We will go to the Broncos/Patriots game Sunday night. Neither of us have been skiing before so we were hoping to be able to try it.

Breck may be the best choice to a novice.

It's snowing again in Colorado. Denver is even getting in on the action.

A-Basin is one of my favorite little ski resorts.

Louise will probably have the most snow, but it's an hour drive from Banff.
Norquay is 12 minutes. Here are pics from all three last season. Norquay (2), Sunshine, Louise...

ANYONE: Red River vs. Ski Sante Fe

I'm looking for a quick and less expensive way to ski this season...also some place better than Canada for my girlfriend to learn.

Which is best? pros? cons?
