I just really hope Verizon gets this phone.

I highly doubt it, at least that's what I've seen rumored.

I have verizon and hate we can't get these phones. If they can't put their shitty arse apps on the phones they don't carry them unless its iphone.

Rumors seem to indicate that Verizon is finally willing to play ball, but I assume they'll find some way to screw it up before the announcement.

Is the N5 worth the upgrade from the 4? Looks like it will cost me about $100 after selling the 4.

i have both and i like both. the N4 is the little phone that could. my wife & son have that one and they love it.
i love my N5 but chances are it will go down in price when the N6 launches whereas your N4 is probably not going to drop.

I loved my 4, but the 5 is light years better, so yes.
Reading that Google's event is likely going to be on the 15th unveiling the Nexus 9, but not the 6.
The 6 is going to be early November, but COULD still be unveiled on the 15th. Hopefully that's the case, I can't wait much longer. These leaks make it worse.

If they do have the smaller version I will go Nexus this year. Been on the HTC One but I love the constant updates of my Nexus 10. Hell I might even get the behemoth.

I'm prepared for it, preordering the 6 the minute it's up on the Store.
Would I rather it be 5.5 or even 5.2 instead of 5.9? Probably, but idgaf I love my Nexus line too much, I'll make myself love the bigger screen.

You sound like an apple sheep. J/k We have a responsibility to just say no to Google when we don't like it.

I had every iPhone until the 5, jailbroke them since all the way back to when it began on the 3G and developed a lot of themes for Cydia and on ModMyi, then tried Windows phone for a few months until the Nexus 4 came out and then got the N5 day it came out and will for the N6 too.
Android is just far superior and I've tried them all. But I also love tweaking the everloving shite out of my phone, and then that makes it a really easy choice with Android.
I was sick of jailbreaking iPhones and waiting months and months on end for an exploit to be found on the new devices to jailbreak especially when I upgrade every year, having to use the stock iOS for any extended period of time was just so god awful. I hated it so damn much.

Yeah, that really pisses me off about Verizon.

1) Nexus 9 specs will be insane. Tegra K1 64 bit, min 3 GB ram, awesome screen, awesome camera with OIS, and premium HTC build quality. The specs aren't really the questions, it is if you are OK with 4:3 aspect ratio and it being pricey.
2) Nexus 6 isn't coming to Verizon. Droid turbo will be Verizon's nexus. 3 GB ram, snapdragon 805, huge battery and premium screen with nearly stock android. Verizon won't get a nexus until volte is nationwide and nexus phones are made for it.
I bought the moto x 2014 because the specs are still awesome, esp coming from the gnex, and it has a very manageable size. Moto phones are the closest we get to stock android on Verizon.

So n9 will be 64 bit but the n6 will be 32 bit?

Correct, the Snapdragon 805 is a 32 bit chip.
The 810 is their 64 bit chip and they just debuted them last month at their conference, available in devices early 2015. The Nexus is always at the wrong time to get the newest chip as Qualcomm always releases early in the year.

First 64 bit Android chip that will be heavily adopted by phone manufacturers is the snapdragon 810. Don't expect to see them until 2015.

What do you expect the price point to be?
