Oh god it's so terrible. Its the worst ever. I have a phone through sprint and my employer provides one from AT&T. AT&T phone and data service is miles ahead of sprint pretty much everywhere I am.

Honestly....It's by FAR the worst of the four.
I screwed up and was lured away from Verizon by the cheap prices.
My contract is finally up in a couple of months and I am running back to Verizon but may look at ATT.

If price is the deciding factor, look into prepaid. Cricket wireless uses Verizon. Walmart has a ATT prepaid that is like $45 unlimited everything.

Coverage is about as good as LSU's defense. So, awful.

It can be bad in certain areas just like any provider. It all depends on where you are located and where you require the most/best service.

For example Sprint at my work and home are excellent and even performs better than several other providers at these locations.

Sprint in BR is about as bad as it gets that is why you do not hear good things about them here. And this is something Sprint desperately needs to focus on with their network overhaul.

Outside of BR Sprint can be viable and is a decent value depending on your needs.

Expect Sprint to keep improving as they continue to roll out more spectrum. Although BR is pretty much screwed in the near term unfortunately.

My Dad is in a different state pretty much every two weeks. It sucks many other places too. He got rid of it a while back.

You already know it's terrible, so why are you asking? I've literally never once heard anybody say something positive about Sprint other than their price.

And to the straight talk comment, it's a good service for what it is, but do your homework before buying. They have phones that use ATT, Verizon and Sprint towers. You'll obviously want one using Verizon or ATT's towers. I've got the Lumia 1020 on ATT's network and it works pretty well. Infact, when we were going down to Nashville I ended up with better coverage in some spots than a friend who actually had ATT. Though, his phone had been dropped once or twice so that could be why

Voicemails are terrible though. It's the old "you have 6 unheard messages. Message 1. Click 1 to save, 2 to delete" bullshite. Drove me nuts, but for $45 a month unlimited, it's almost worth it. Also, once you hit your 3GB of data, just give up on trying to use it till you're billed again. They throttle their service down to "You've got mail!" Dial up speeds.

And their CS sucks as well.

I was with Sprint for 15 years and left 2 years ago. Have never looked back.

Pretty sure Cricket uses their own service. And when not in a service market they use ATT. I say this only because ATT bought them last year and I find it hard to believe ATT would buy a network that is completely different than their current system.

Cricket was/is using CDMA. ATT is moving them to GSM and will eventually ditch CDMA. ATT started a prepaid service called AIO and eventually merged it with Cricket. New Cricket users run on the ATT network...I currently have them.

Sprint coverage wasn't good when I had them a little over a year ago. They seemed to get worse as I stayed with them. T-mo isn't much better either. I'd stick to att or Verizon if you can. There are also good prepaid plans out there if price is a factor.

Honestly I had Sprint for over 5 years. It got to the point where I basically didnt have service anywhere. Their networks just arent fast even when you do have 4G. I've had every carrier and I can promise you that AT&T is the best in south Louisiana.
