re: First Time Family Ski Trip - Help Needed - cassopher
I was really interested in Park City, but the cheapest flight I could find out of Monroe was almost 3 times what I ended up with by going to Denver instead of Salt Lake City. I may regret that after making the 2 hour haul instead of the 30 minute trip.
I think you made a good decis...

Switching from ATT to T-Mobile - cassopher
ATT's unlimited plan is the worst of the major carriers, not to mention the most expensive. I'm considering switching to T-Mobile but I was wondering if I can bring our iPhone (6s and 6s plus) over to T-Mobile with us or would we have to get new phones. If we can how hard is it to unlock them and ...

re: Copper Mountain, CO - cassopher
McCoy's is in center village for groceries. Limited selection and high prices. There is a Safeway in Frisco and you could always have your grocery needs delivered....

re: Brian's Head Utah Ski Area - cassopher
Very budget friendly. I've priced it and lift tickets, rentals, and lodging are much cheaper than you will find in the northern Utah resorts or Colorado. Don't expect to be blown away by the amenities and facilities though, if you are used to the big luxurious resorts BH may not be to your liking....

Chimes or City Pork - cassopher
In Baton Rouge for the night and looking for a bite to eat. I've seen chimes mentioned on here quite a bit so I was going to give it a try but I passed by City Pork earlier and thought I might try that instead. What does the F&D board recommend?...

re: Closest Mountain Trip from Nola - cassopher
Big bend National park has some 8k mountains also. I think that's a nine hour drive.
9 hours from Houston maybe. More like 14 or 15 from New Orleans. Blue Ridge Georgia is pretty but it is quite boring. I'd keep driving another couple of hours to Bryson City, NC which is a...

re: First Time Family Ski Trip - Help Needed - cassopher
The Village East area is what I'm looking at including Copper Springs Neighborhood, but I assume that they are all comparable pretty much?
It would be more convenient to stay in west village because it's 100% green runs. This is where you will take your lessons. East village is...

re: First Time Family Ski Trip - Help Needed - cassopher
Can't comment on Lake Tahoe since I've never been but my family and I went to Colorado last month for our family's first ski trip. We went to copper mountain and it would have all the prerequisites you are looking for on top of being a great mountain for beginners to learn on. It's easily accessib...

Banff in early June - cassopher
Looking to go the first week of June. Is there anyone that's been this early in the season that can tell me how it is? Have the lakes completely thawed enough to give them the blue color they are known for, and how are the trails this early in the summer season?...

re: Lake Charles people - Howard Johnson hotel on Broad. - cassopher
Lake Charles is not that big of a city. With that being said you can stay at one of the new hotels on prien lake and make it to downtown, if that's the area you are trying to be close to, in less than 10 minutes. I'm not sure why Howard Johnson would even be an option....
