You might not go to any of these places but there are plenty of places in the world and even in the U.S. where there is no cellphone coverage.

Well if you live in those places then you wouldnt have a cell phone in the first place.

If you are just visiting those places do you really need 128 gb of ram to store music for a couple of a days.

I mean i guess if you were going on a 2 month work trip to Antartica.

I had two 6Ps become unusable because of the overheating issue. No issues w/ battery though

It is the Apple IPod phenomenon. the more GBs the better. They think for some reason they have to have their whole catalog with them at all times.

Im sure there are specific instances where it makes sense but it just seems odd to me. Wouldn't 99.9% of people rather everything be cloud based in case you either lost or damaged the phone?

I keep my entire music library on my phone, because I listen to my library often, and I don't want to waste data streaming.put all my pics on Google photos and everything else is in the cloud. Like I said in a post earlier, I've got around 9gb free on a 32 gb phone. I don't see how anyone could go over 64, but it's not my money being spent on it

There is also a good chance that a large portion of the population think that the phone will be faster with more storage

Admittedly I haven't used Google Photos because I've had expandable storage since before GP existed. But I just educated myself on it via a few youtube videos showing how it works, I downloaded the app, backed up my current phone'S photos, and I'm now convinced I don't/won't need the 128 gb variant.

So I canceled my 128 gb order and ordered the 64 gb. Good news, I saved $100. Bad news, I have to use this laggy POS Galaxy s5 for 2-4 days longer.

Google photos is a fantastic photo app. Obviously the cloud storage is its selling point but the search inside it is pretty damn smart too. You'll enjoy it.

Damn, the videos they make for you...

It just made my wife a video of our 5 year old called "they grow up so fast". We just relived 5 years of his life in 90 seconds.

while on the subject, for the last week google photos has stopped uploading images for me unless i open the app.

all the sync settings are as they have always been. any idea why it won't start to sync without me opening the app first?

gonna go confirm what i still owe on my 7+ and order the pixel 2xl tuesday. I have noticed lately that since I switched to Iphone 2 years ago, I tend to use mainly google apps and have been using them exclusively more and more. No reason to have an Iphone if I like the google apps better.

PLus my Iphone is a POS, when people call me its always doing weird shite where there voice comes across in waves likes its cutting in and out and I have to call them back to get a clear call. annoying as hell and the damn thing is always freezing up.

My LG urbane is every bit as functional as the Apple watch and doesn't have the ugly square shape?

Samsung's is great. I'd rather the Android version but tizen isn't bad. My Huawei was great.
