Dybala, Lukaku, or Mbappe.

I'll take Lukaku but would be just about as happy with the other two

Kane is great but is English so that's a red flag (partially joking...)

Rashford and Jesus, not at the same level/haven't had the game time to prove it yet

Dybala should be taken off because he is such an obvious answer.

After that I'm going with Mbappe, I'm a sucker for speed.

Since all of these guys are world-class, the question for me is who will still be able to play at a high level into their 30s.

Speed eventually wears off and injuries add up, so not Rashford or Kane..

Give me Dybala, admittedly I don't watch him much, but just seems that he relies on being clinical with smart movement more than any of the others.

Is he though? He doesn't score at near the rate of Lukaku, who also happens to be one of the few attackers in the world built like an NFL running back. Lukaku assists at the same rate

Lukaku could be good into his mid 30s given his style. He should be able to transform his game over time and have a lengthy career.

Real holdup, physical #9s like Lukaku will usually have better stats if the team plays through them.

Dzeko, for example, has amazing --perhaps club record breaking-- stats for Roma this year. However, if you watch the matches, you realize that while he's been very good, Nainggolan, Perotti, Salah make sure Dzeko has 5 times as many touches in a good position to get a goal or assist as any other player on the team (and a lot more than Icardi gets as well).

Dybala is much more a second striker, hybrid #10/#9, who is good enough to play anywhere. Much more in a Messi style of Argentinian striker than Aguero or even prime Tevez.

I like Lukaku but I would also likely take Icardi over him as #9. You never know what will happen in the future but Icardi's the more deadly, clinical of all these. I'd guess--just based on watching -- that his touch around the area to goal ratio is eye opening.

yeah, Higuain is the spearhead of Juve's attack... these strikers are not 1:1

Icardi is definitely the best finisher of all those IMO.. just lethal!

Argentina needs to give Icardi a chance and build their future attack around Icardi/Dybala... I know Messi is still going to be the focal point (rightly so) for the foreseeable future, but those two could be a special pairing... not sure how you make it work short term..

Yeah, when you watch his matches you realize that unlike even a lot of the best #9s in the world Icardi just doesn't waste many good chances at all.

Maybe it could be a criticism of his all around game but I've watched him have many 2 or even 3 goal games for Inter where I'm sure that he only touched the ball near the box 4 times the entire match.

Yeah, it almost hurts Argentina that they have so many world class strikers and #10 types.
Never ceases to amaze me that they have guys like a Diego Perroti who's likely nowhere near the NT but is the most creative passer/attacker on Roma's squad. Almost any other NT manager would be drooling over a play with his specific skill set: not even 2 defenders consistently stop him from dribbling into dangerous positions and picks out a few passes every single match that 99% of players would never even consider.

ADDED:

Monchi: Really glad to see that it seems Monchi is most likely coming to Roma. I've been nervous about it especially with recent reports that Arsenal et al were making an effort to sign him.

Paredes: He has ALL the tools to be a fantastic midfielder however he's been a bit of a disappointment this year for us. He'd been pegged to give De Rossi breaks in that DM-Regista role but, while his passing and touch has been excellent, he's still pretty "raw" reading the game defensively and Spalletti doesn't totally trust him in big matches yet it would seem.

Still very young though as reading the game is something that usually demands time.

yeah, a buddy i knew, soccer guy, had a tshirt with a huge Roma logo on it. I always thought they were monkeys sockling on the teets.

When the logo isn't distinguishable, they look like little monkey chimps sockling, which made no sense.

I would think, what the f does monkeys sockling on a wolf have to do with the city of Rome or the Club?
