So we are all in agreement that Borini and Balotelli should start this Saturday in some variation of 4-4-2, or 4-2-2-2?

Mignolet; Manquillo, Lovren, Skrtel, Moreno; Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling; Borini, Balotelli.

That's the lineup I want to see.

I just want us to go with 2 true forwards, and Sterling and Coutinho behind, but that's what I would go with.

Borini's cross was beautiful on the first goal

You have to think that BR sees the same thing we all do about swag needing a second forward to be at his best - so obviously there must be some other reason he's not doing it - any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is that lambert/Borini are not dynamic enough to command the oppositions attention and make up for one less body at midfield? Even though it seems the second forward had helped us in every game we've switched to it, starting a full 90 that way may keep things too open?

I think he's going with what he believes is the best 11, rather than what works best for Balotelli... Im guessing, he's hoping that Balotelli will learn to adapt his game..

That said, I think he recognizes that he may be better suited for that, since he did bring on Lambert to pair with him last match... again, just my theory...

You could see them getting into it, but I'm wondering what was said? But you would expect it out of those two...

Also, on the GK front...

We are being linked to Timo Horn (Koln - Germany) and Mattia Perin (Genoa - Italy)... both in their early 20s and viewed, by many, as the potential heir apparent to their national teams GK position...

I'd love either of these two... Perin would come at a much steeper price... some seem to think he will eventually be Buffon's successor at Juve
