Lovren has a virus. Thank god we signed Klavan. Sakho has a snapchat post last night which probably won't endear him to klopp. Dude needs to keep quiet and work hard. ...

re: OFFICIAL LFC 16/17 Season Long Thread- Klopp '16: Making the Reds Great Again!!! - Tigerstark
rescuing this thread from page 2. I know I've mentioned it before (and several of their pods are worthless), but I do like the under pressure pod from anfield index. Tabulate pressing statistics by hand, etc.and also bring in other stats to look at and compare the games we play. Our midfi...

re: OFFICIAL LFC 16/17 Season Long Thread- Klopp '16: Making the Reds Great Again!!! - Tigerstark
Frankly about four of our defenders could have done a lot better on the goal. I don't think there is particularly one guy to blame. I want Klopp to try Cou in midfield (Lallana or Gini's role) for Hull, assuming Studge/Firmino fitness. I want the dynamic three of the Leicester game while als...

re: Was WWI more brutal than WWII? - Tigerstark
One of the main differences was time away from the battlefront. In WW1 you did not go to the front for a few days/weeks and the. Stay away. Rotation was a much different thing. You also spent years battling with the body parts of friends and unknowns hanging out around you. Neither was...

re: Future of American Club Soccer/MLS - Tigerstark
requiring a $100m investment to buy a franchise tells me that the monopoly (and a lack of relegation) is pretty much a foregone conclusion. The only possibility is if we end up with 40 or so MLS teams and then break into two divisions. But I think the US mindset about minor leagues will hurt tha...

re: Can someone explain the logic of our final three snaps of game. - Tigerstark
Wasn't the last play clock clocked in at 38 or so seconds? That's pretty close to the 40 second play clock. It was close enough to therefore to potentially require a 4th down snap that Lsu ran two plays (which take more seconds off the clock than a kneel down) in the first two downs to make su...

re: OFFICIAL LFC 16/17 Season Long Thread- Klopp '16: Making the Reds Great Again!!! - Tigerstark
At this point I would be much more likely to bet they we would win away to a big team than home to a Sunderland. I think we are pretty much guaranteed one big defensive error per game at this point. Can't believe matic broke us down. Poor by several guys along the way. Great job to keep it t...

re: Possibility of playing harris and etling - Tigerstark
Its possible, but I don't see it being because of that. I think its much more likely Etling struggles at times and he and Harris alternate for the rest of the season to see who has the "hot" hand. That means a lot of games where we are slow to get going on offense as we figure out which QB has...

re: 4-4-2 Diamond numbering system/numbering systems in general - Tigerstark
My guess is that the first one - where the CDM is a 4 - plays more like a 3-4-1-2 when in possession, with the fullbacks pushed up high and the CDM dropping back to nearly CB depth. There are a lot of teams that do that right now. Otherwise, I can't imagine why the 4 would be in the midfield. ...
