re: OFFICIAL LFC 16/17 Season Long Thread - Calmer Waters Ahead??? - Tigerstark
I keep wondering if we can pay these low table teams to wear Man City and Chelsea kits when we play them? We definitely need Man City to win against ManU this week - and hope the fixture congestions starts catching up with ManU. I don't have any faith we're going to win out, and thus we need ...
Liverpool are precariously balanced on a knife's edge right now and any slip-up will be deadly.
Yep, we don't really control our destiny entirely (depends upon the Machester Derby) and we have zero room for error - especially considering how ManU just aren't losing - they are pick...

re: OFFICIAL LFC 16/17 Season Long Thread - Calmer Waters Ahead??? - Tigerstark
For the Millie debate - his goals are from PKs. Milner is fine - he's serviceable, but not an asset at LB. His crossing (from the left)is largely poor. He has to cut in on his right way too often. He's not fast enough to track back as well as we'd like and leaves Klavan/Lovren on an island too...

re: OFFICIAL LFC 16/17 Season Long Thread - Calmer Waters Ahead??? - Tigerstark
So...word is that Hendo is out possibly for the rest of the year. Pretty much all of our CBs are doubts for the game - Matip, Lucas and Klavan all doubts. So, does that mean Gomez or Can comes in at CB? How the hell will we deal with Europe next year when we can't put together a starting ...

re: SI: What If Torsten Frings Gets Called for Handball - Tigerstark
By chance, do you mean no greater than 5%?
I mean, I said we would finish runner up already as my main prediction. If I had to give it an exact percentage, likely about 15% or so. Maybe up to 20% since there could be no ties and ultimately it would have to come down to PKs. Br...

re: SI: What If Torsten Frings Gets Called for Handball - Tigerstark
Then the U.S. would have finished runner up at the World Cup in 2002. No doubt in my mind that we beat Germany that day - heck we out played them (other than the Great Wall of Kahn) 11 on 11. The article does note our injuries and yellow card suspensions would have been a problem for the semis...

Needs to be 2 defenders. Gk is usually one and automatic but was not in this case. Thus studge was offsides. ...
Studge had a simple put-in from the left too.
Studge would have been offside at that point as only one defender and no gk was in front of Moreno and studge was also in front. He would have had to play it right since they were behind the ball. ...
with a string of bad luck
Bad luck or Karma? And yes, I'm still mad. Of course, in hindsight, can you imagine how frustrating it would be for possibly our best every player to have had 4 ACL tears and pretty much hardly ever be able to play for the USMNT? ...

re: OFFICIAL LFC 16/17 Season Long Thread - Calmer Waters Ahead??? - Tigerstark
Funny enough, I think Milner would be ok (not great, but serviceable as a back-up) in a midfield three in one of the more advanced roles. You would need more creativity around him, but he's a decent option there. Milner's wages are too high to be a rotational player, but he's perfect in that reg...

I'd post today's lineup but I'm not sure it's even real. Front three average age 19. Regardless of today's result, if we don't make top 4 the blame will lie squarely at klopps feet for not strengthening the squad in January. ...
was disappointed with Klavan
If you think about it, he was brought in to be the 4th/5th CB (behind Matip, Sakho, Lovren, and possibly Gomez). As such, he's an experienced player that would be great as that 4th/5th. Personally, to me he's been better than I thought - his proble...
