Pretty funny from the new Suarez book.
quote:
Brendan had got the entire squad together during pre-season soon after he had taken over and showed us three envelopes. He told us that inside each envelope was a piece of paper on which he had written the name of someone who would let the team down during the coming season. It was our duty, he said, to make sure that it wasn’t our name in there. At the end of the year, he would open the envelopes and reveal the names inside. I hadn’t seen a manager do that before and of course afterwards lots of the players were talking about it.
There was a group of us sitting there, and Glen Johnson came over and said: “I know who’s in the envelopes. I know what’s written on all three pieces of paper.” Who? What?
‘“Number 3” . . . “José” . . . and “Enrique”.

Anybody else watching?
In attack, we're going with more of a 3-4-1-2 and keeping them under a lot of pressure. Still not much to show for it though

yeah... man Coutinho has one of the quickest brains/feet in the game... still inconsistent and his ideas don't always come off... but damn..

Johnson works hard then kicks the ball into the middle of the field

Yea, Coutinho missing Sturridge to connect with his through balls.
And Markovic clearly not left footed

Borini might actually be our best striker

He fits BR's system better than Baloteli

Unlucky not to be ahead by 1 right now.

Great half. You can see the team is slowly but surely putting it together week by week.

Classic. We hold a lot of possession with a bunch of shitty half chances.
On our side, they get a deflection, one of our defenders falls asleep for a perfectly finished volley passed the keeper.

Are we Arsenal?
A club "in transition" if you will. Likely a very long transition.

Mario time. Let's see if he and Borini can do anything.

Mario
But please don't make us play anymore than we need to

Oh please let that be the goal that kickstarts Balotelli for the rest of the season. And not just in cups.

It will be penalties. There is no other way.
