No, you're just a nutjob that freaks out about people "aiming their cellphones at you", and thinks the govt is using "chem trails to control people".

They make their substandard wages by working for the owner, who pockets millions while they aren't paid squat.

Wow, really? There is nothing nutty about being tired of people aiming their cell phones at you. Zero. Nothing. People do it and it is bullshite. And, chemtrails are a proven fact as you can see them on days when the skies are clear and there is no telling what they are doing when hidden away due to cloud cover.

Don't hijack my thread but the two things you say are "nutty" are facts of life that I see damn near every day.

Selfish and greedy

frick you entitled bitch.

My grandfather started life as the son of a sharecropper with dirt floors. He would wake up at 4 am to do the morning chores, go to school, come home and do the afternoon chores, then do homework by candle light. As a senior in high school, he added being a county bus driver to that, even on his lunches he had to go fuel the buses for both high schools in the region. Life was so hard on them that both of his parents died in their early to mid 60s, several years before I was born. They were the only set of great-grandparents I didn't have a relationship with. All the others didn't die until I was in my teens.

He didn't have the opportunity to go to college, so he started off sweeping floors as a clerk for the second largest multi-national conglomeration in the world, at the time. And proceeded to work his way up to VP. After 25 years with the company, the company started to fail because of bad decisions in other industries. So he left and started his own with my uncle. WITHOUT EVER BORROWING A DIME, and within 5 years of opening his doors, their gross sales were over $10m. When he sold his half of the company to my uncle almost 10 years ago the valuation was worth roughly $100m.

He and my grandmother lived in the same house for 56 years, donated millions to churches, missions, non profits, people in need, and countless other places.

I've never even been given a dime of it, and wont until he passes. He once told me that he has it set up in a manner which guarantees MY great-great-great grandchildren will be taken care of, and hopefully a few generations after that. Because he never wants to see his family reduced to the struggles that he had to go through growing.

Did he create jobs? Yes. But did he create enough jobs by what you're describing? Not even close. Even if he did, this next part still stands.

frick you for saying someone like my grandfather is a thief, selfish, greedy, corrupt, and an enemy of society. frick you for acting like he owes the government the bulk of what he earned when it did nothing to help he, or his family, earn a dime of it. And no, infrastructure doesn't count as an argument for government helping. All the government ever did was things like call his accountant on Christmas Eve to tell him he needed to write a check for an extra $75,000 dollars because of some new tax code that had popped up that quarter.

Edit: I know this is a troll, but I wanted to say this anyway. I know there are enough liberals reading this board to make it worth typing out.

Some of those same people support vast quantitites of charities. Not everyone needs the government to do good works in the community.

Most don't need the government to donate to worthy causes actually.

Get out there and try it. Donate your time and money to a good cause and stop waiting for mommy government to solve everything for you, you statist pig.

What is an important cause to you? I'll help you figure it out.

They don't make their money off the backs of the owners previous risks? The owner likely put in 60hr weeks and risked everything in the early years, while employees (that don't make squat) come and go not worried about the company at all. It's a mutually beneficial agreement made by choice.

Everyone is free to be on either side of this relationship. That's the American Dream, if you want something it's out their.
If you don't want anything there is still a 3 bedroom house, AC, TV, cellphones, and a car...

I commend what your grandfather did. But, that is the exception. Do you think the Walton children who are raking in billions did that? Bill Gates?

No one does enough work (as it is not possible) to be entitled to a billion dollars in wealth. No one.

Do you think the ones who made it (there is always a first) don't deserve the right to leave it to their children?

Tell the 1% they can't leave money/assets to their children and watch them find a country that would love to allow them. You'll miss them when they are gone and you realize while only 1% of the population left so did 50% of our tax base. You'll realize your contributions to society won't even pay for interstate upkeep much less a carrier fleet...

Not at this point in time, no.

It has in the past, there is no reason to think it wouldn't happen again.

Wes should try to keep in mind that we are trying to form the best system for the most people. Not just the best system. If you design a theoretically perfect system that only a few can master and benefit from, it will be overthrown by the People when they are not served by it.

Also, it's important to keep in mind that half the people have an IQ < 100. Think about that, how many people do you know with an IQ < 100 (members of this board excluded)?

The Walton family and Bill Gates employ thousands, if not millions, more people than my grandfather ever could have dreamed.

Whoever built it decides what to do with their money, and that includes giving it to their children.

The federalist papers are chock full of writings making it clear the forefathers wanted utmost protections on man's right to own property, money included. Madison even goes so far as to say a man's right to own property is identical to free speech.
