Why is the latter a more religious reason? I think it is pretty scientific. Blastocysts don't have a beating heart.

Wait, first your argument for abortion, you inferred that it was a cheap way to solve the welfare problem. That is failing on you, so now it's "woman's choice". That's like screaming racist at someone. It's a nonsensical desperate attempt to try and use a "safe" argument that. Because the fact of the matter, is that opposition to abortion has zero to do with choice, and all to do with murder of a baby.
So let's see what other fall backs you can rely on. Racism? Ageism?

Who? Who have I, as a Christian white male, killed? What in the teachings of Jesus, advocate killing?
Man has killed people in the name of many things, religion being one. It is man who is at fault, not their misguided interpretations of Religion.
Talk about deflection.

Why, because it negates your "woman's choice" bullshite argument? It has nothing to do with woman choice and you know it. Woman's choice is just as nonsensical as throwing out racism simply because someone disagrees with you and may have a point. Try to stay substantive on the issue.

Again, where in the Bible did Jesus advocate killing? You are showing your arse here in this thread.

are you an idiot? how is it not a woman's choice?

Yes I'm sure Dr. Hops was around for the Crusades!

Again, you are trying to argue "woman's choice" when the argument is not about woman's choice. It's about murder of an unborn child. Justifying by saying "woman's choice" is like justifying rape as "man's choice".

it is the woman's choice and it's a fetus not a baby. More of men telling women what to do.

Over 1,200 babies have been born in the US after a failed abortion attempt. One occurrence of this should be enough of a reason.
Just like the "one innocent man" argument from the Left about the death penalty... but they don't make the intellectual bridge.

Do you have children? My wife is pregnant. She is about 17 weeks at the moment. Are you going to tell me that the forming of limbs, a heartbeat. The baby is now capable of hearing us. How is that not a human being?

I think i've quite extensively debunked the "woman's choice" argument. It's a logical fallacy that you love parroting because your slave masters in office repeat it.
We've gone 5 pages in this thread and the consensus of those that are against abortion are because it's murder. Seems silly for you to try to bring up what you think is your "ace in the hole" to try to silence the opposition.

I am all for that but some people just wont part with their children.
They can't put the kid up for adoption because they can't part with the child... but they sure as frick would have no problem killing said child?

I'm sorry but that's bullshite. Yes it's a fetus by definition. But it's also a baby too.

Oh, here is a baby at 22 weeks, that you consider "just a fetus" and not qualifying of life.
Clearly it has no distinguishable features to humans.

How is the latter more of a religious reason? You don't have to believe in any god to think that you are terminating life. I'm not religious, but I do think that we all have a moral compass of what's right and what's wrong. It just seems wrong to me, that's why I'm against it.
We live in a society that is constantly looking for a way to have an out when they screw up. The worlds not an easy or fair place, so I have no sympathy for the arguement that a child will ruin someones life if they willingly make the choice to engage in an act that's natural purpose is to make children. If it's not their choice (i.e. rape), I can see that there's some grey area. Otherwise, I thinks it's absurd that we are willing to terminate a life, because someone made a choice and can't deal with the consequences.
