It started before birtherism. Nixon was the modern day beginning of the dirty tricks campaign, and shows how the politicians from that Era have dominated politics since. Now we have a bunch of people brought up on loyalty to that group who allow some of the dirtiest misinformation campaigns in history.

Obama broke past Hillary and McCain and upset the apple cart.

It's not even numbered correctly in the system...

It's an Adobe creation...Probably from the state of Hawaii itself...

i mean i wouldn't "go there" if we're talking about CTs being created in response to the President

this whole paradigm (in the US) was basically created by liberals during the Nixon era

They are just trying to win elections in a universal suffrage world. It's simple really.

Society is dumbed down and they don't have the attention span or capacity to listen to a William F. Buckley style debate on the subject.

New realities force new tactics. You have to be sensational, rude, and crude for the masses.

The Buckley style is still great for the intellectually honest, but that is a small demographic.

I think it's perfectly acceptable to want a smaller gov and think the Seth Rich case seems fishy.

Reagan brought in the religious and fascists / nationalists. Both groups believe in a version of manifest destiny and to an extent believe that the end justifies the means. Truly disgusting.

Why are you a "birther?" Didn't you see the birth announcements in two different Hawaiian newspapers? Do you think the people who printed those announcements in 1961 were deceitful clairvoyants? Your stupidity continues to amaze.

this literally applies to liberals, too, especially progressives

there is nothing special about conservatives/the GOP that makes them any different than liberals in terms of action (only preferred policy goals differ)

I'll just say when Obama refused to expose his college transcripts it was an opportune time for "why not" concerning conspiracies. I'd be sweating on Trump for his taxes if Obama hadn't set the precedent for concealment of one's history.

Are you seriously contending that the released BC was real?

My guess is when the left made conspiracies the centerpiece of their platform.

Actually, I think it started with Bush lied about WMD.

LBJ was ruthless with political pressure, but he mostly stayed in the lanes with regards to being technically honest. Nixon could care less about that.

The same birther conspiracy that was started during the primary by the Clinton campaign?
