Obama and his clan added 10 years on them with his worldwide apology tour and family vacations at every turn of the corner.

You think so? Want to bet that number comes down quite a bit?
$1.65 billion for 3 fully-outfitted 747-8's isn't a very high cost.

you'd think a 747 could be managed to get another 10 years or so.

The F35 is like a billion each right? AF1 probabaly has much more technology.

In a recent interview, Buckley said the final cost for the presidential version is "difficult to say at this point because we know we have challenges with affordability." The Air Force was working with Boeing to reduce requirements and costs and a revised estimate was expected next spring or later when an analysis is completed, he said.
So Trump will try to take credit for pencil sharpening that is already happening. But this board will think his tweet did the trick.

Stuff like this makes me think we really could balance the budget if anyone actually cared to.

Boeing and USAF cutting costs that's a laugh, I bet you believed Obama when he said he wouldn't cum in your mouth.

It's a boeing 747-200. Boeing doesn't produce those anymore, parts are getting harder and harder to come by and more expensive

You're putting a lot of stock into a WH report. It says "possible" three planes. Just how can a third plane not increase the price as reported for just two planes? I'm pretty sure Boeing doesn't have a "buy two get one free" arrangement with the government.

Lol
Bunch of people in here talking like they know anything about aircraft maintenance. Every single one of those moving parts on that aircraft has a specific shelflife in hours. Not years, flying hours. When those parts including the engines, hit their maximum lifetime, they are replaced. Whether they are broken or not. I guarantee you there isn't a single part on either of those planes that is original to the aircraft. And five times the typical cost for a commercial airliner? You have to be fricking me. Absolutely that is an over inflated cost.

You can buy 1/3 of an aircraft carrier for this price with its planes included.
Latest Aircraft carrier price tag is 13.5 Billion

Oh good grief. Obama cancelled Marine One orders 7 years ago due to price issues. You guys getting hard sitting in the dark corner chair looking at Trump frick is disturbing.

I'm all for fiscal responsibility but this is just idiotic and some of the dumbest shite he's ever said but he has no filter so what's new.
Feel free to set up a GoFundMe account to buy the President a new plane and contribute all you and your friends would like.

Come ON dude. I think Trump is a buffoon, but if you can't get on board with a mentality that stops corporate welfare via government contract come ON.

What's the burn rate for both variations?
The new genx engines shits all over the CF6. They add another thousand miles to the trip so for AF1 that's about 7500 instead of 6500.
The genx engines on the Dreamliner has basically opened new routes to the airline industry and killed the A380 and 747 as well.
