Didn't read the article, did you?

Did you?
quote:

Thomas P. Miller, resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and co-author of “Why ObamaCare is Wrong for America” (HarperCollins, 2011), cautioned against “reaching broad conclusions” because the subject is so complex. “Certainly there are fewer people declaring bankruptcy, and certainly fewer are declaring bankruptcy because of healthcare spending,” he says. But his earlier research suggested that some studies exaggerated the degree to which high healthcare bills cause bankruptcies. “They tended to reflect other problems with credit card balances well beyond healthcare,” he says. “It stems from multiple causes.”

So let me see if I've got this correct?

People are going bankrupt less often, because the feds required me to pay for their health care?

But wouldn't that also be true if the feds required me to buy their house, their car, pay for their daughters wedding, their kids private schooling, their season tickets, their vacays?

Hell, just think, if the feds could pass a law for all those things, bankruptcies might become extinct!!

Uh... that's nearly ANY thread that bamaatl participates in, isn't it?

Yes I am entirely certain that there were no other contributing factors to describe this other than the passing of the ACA.

Which statistics were those? You never did give an answer.

This OP

Even IF some of it is due to declining bankruptcies for medical care, that doesn't even imply ACA caused that. Medical care is a good like any other good. When income rises and you have a job instead of being unemployed, EVERTHING from homes to health care are easier to pay off.

This is the most intellectually dishonest post you have ever started. And you NEVER answered SFP's question regarding why we are still above the 2006 level.

You really have done a decent job emulating Rex's techniques.

Given the new restrictions on insurance post-ACA, it's a valid comparison. And it puts the lie to the common assertion here and other places that the ACA is bankrupting Americans, clearly that's not the case on the whole.

Insomuch as your point was that the article was almost pure speculation, peppered with unsupported anecdotal evidence, then yeah.

this is beyond ridiculous. Bankruptcies are down following the economic collapse of 2008, not because of ObamaCare. Geez.

The ACA Helped Drive Down Personal Bankruptcies

Good Lord!

So how in hell did the ACA help drive down Bankruptcies 4yrs before it was even implemented?

But if bankruptcy is the measure, we surely should go back to 2006 healthcare, right?

This is one of the worst points you've made. Worse than your point about vehicle registrations.

It's been fun watching the beatdown.
