They are saying he needs to clear the air and let them know he just wants to play football. I am torn on this one. I respect the free market and it is a owners right to hire whoever they want. Yet I can't help but feel that Colin is being punished for taking unpopular stands, or in his case sitting.

I think that eventually, America is going to HAVE to grow out of this "if you did something people don't like, your entire career is up in smoke" approach.

I only think it works now because the vast majority of us don't have 20 years of immense social media presence.

But, 10-15 years from now, really, how many people can pass the test where nothing in their social media presence, or on some cell phone video somewhere wouldn't be life altering by today's absurd approach?

On the flip side look at Hollywood. Their people are over the top with their activism. By comparison Colin is a Boy Scout.

Apples and Oranges. Hollywood types are self-employed, Colon is not. You smear the Brand, goodbye. It's the same for everyone that works for someone else. If your smear is egregious enough, see you in court.

Colon is full of shite. Enema warranted.

I'm all for freedom of speech but don't take a knee during and be disrespectful to the National Anthem. Plenty of men and women have fought and died to give you that right, and you are basically trashing then with these actions.

If he was good enough to be a starting QB then he would be on a team, bottom line. However, he's not good enough to start on any of the 32 teams so nobody is interested in him, especially considering his distaste for our police officers. But you better believe if he was good enough to start they would overlook his antics.

If Dan Rooney were still alive I would have expected the Steelers to have signed him by now.

people in H Wood aren't doing it in the middle of their movie instead of saying their lines, what you do on your own time is your business, what you do at work, wither it's on a football field or in an office, is NOT.

They are passing on him for the same reason they passed on Tim Tebow, he's not good enough to get past the optics of his beliefs. Also, if you think Colin deserves what he is getting, I hope you felt the same way about Tebow

Do you think it is justified or is not fair that the NFL is banishing Colin for unpopular activism?

The NFL is not banishing Krapernic from anything. It appears that each team has weighed what he brings to the team, and found that hiring him is not worth the money, or the bullshite.

Honestly CK is a better QB than Tebow. Tebow's mechanics are bad, and his accuracy is off. CK is like Tebow inasmuch as he has too much off field issues to cope with that detract from overall team.

Are you kidding? his kind of activism makes him a hero in San Francisco, not a hindrance.

So free market doesn't mean you can do whatever you want. There are laws that govern civil liberties. The market needs government oversight or it would do unethical and immoral things. This is not a totally free market. You can't discriminate etc. I don't think the NFL is over the line, but they are close if they are punishing CK for expressing his views. Someone mentioned his disrespect for armed forces by not honoring the anthem, well believe me they died so people like CK have the freedom to do what he is doing.

Other than taking a knee and saying a quick, short prayer, and having a Bible verse under his eyes, I don't see where they are at all comparable. There are players that do much, much more distracting things than Tebow did. The media made a bigger thing of it than Tebow did. There

That's wholly inaccurate. Bottom line - Kaepernick cost the 49ers money. At the end of the day, that is what the owner cares about. Had Kaepernick done the same thing and revenue increased, he'd still be in the team.

Tebow made money for the Broncos; he was just terrible.

A free market does mean business owners and consumers can do what they want.

A market with government oversight isnt a completely free market.

What kinds of immoral behavior does a completely free market lead to?

Agreed, Tebow wore his religion on his sleeve but that's the extent of it. He wasn't controversial, just annoying.
