Teams are passing on Colin Kaepernick because they think he is too much of an activist

They are saying he needs to clear the air and let them know he just wants to play football. I am torn on this one. I respect the free market and it is a owners right to hire whoever they want. Yet I can't help but feel that Colin is being punished for taking unpopular stands, or in his case sitting.

Don't get me wrong I think he is a tpos. Yet he has a strong arm and is a good enough player to contribute to someone. It seems like a big message is being sent to him from the NFL: stay in your proper place.

On the flip side look at Hollywood. Their people are over the top with their activism. By comparison Colin is a Boy Scout.

Do you think it is justified or is not fair that the NFL is banishing Colin for unpopular activism? Oh, it is not official but he has zero interest from any NFL teams, so let's assume there is something to the complaints. I heard espn radio getting behind him this morning.

Yeah, and he cares more about being an activist than a QB.

At the beginning of last season, he'd been on some stupid diet and was too skinny to even be on the field.

This guy is just an attention whore.

Colin Cowherd said Colin Kaepernick would reinvent the QB position and be in the hall of fame. Now even Cowherd's dumbass has given up on Kaepernick. Everyone else should too.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Bout as simple as it gets.

You want to play in the NFL, don't piss off the people that sign your paycheck.

Plus he's still not very good.

If he was good, his jackass political extremism would be overlooked.

I guarantee you, if he was a great QB on the field they wouldn't care about his activism. He's a mediocre QB at best. Admittedly there are teams that would settle for an average QB. But since there are a lot of mediocre QBs around why bother with his baggage.

They're passing on him because he's a shitty, gimmick quarterback.

A scale exists for everyone. Your negatives are on one side and your positives are on the other.

Whenever your negatives outweigh your positives, then you generally find yourself unemployed or your influence severely diminished.

That's where Kaepernick finds himself.

If you're an owner of an NFL team and you think CK can take your team to the Super Bowl, then you sign him and put up with his BS. But if you think CK is just going to be a bench warmer, then his BS isn't worth it and you sign someone else to ride the pines.

Team owners do not like distractions, negative press, and uncertainty. If you're going to be a distraction, your ok field performance better outweigh that. (See ray Lewis). The fact of the matter is he wasn't performing all that great and the distractions were not worth it for him.

He is better than most of the backup quarterbacks in the league but his circus is bigger than his talent.

Vick killed dogs and was able to play in the NFL again, Vick was good. CK, not so much. Sometimes college talent doesn't transfer well to the NFL - I'm looking at you JaMarcus.

CK is not that good at QB. He is a locker room distraction, and an insult to the fan base.
It is logical for him to be unemployed in the NFL.

But a few QB injuries will make him a hot commodity in a league where winning is the only thing.

Dog killers, wife beaters, religious fanatics, and BLM retards are all welcome.

The ring is the thing!

Exactly

You think New England fans care that Tom Brady voted for Trump?

Of course he's being punished for it. Most people can see he's not mentally fit to be an NFL qb. His "activism" was nothing more than attention whoring, and it costs NFL teams money.

That trash bag has already "talked". This is what has gotten him in trouble. Too late.

Or, he is not a very good qb. Having a good arm does not make you a good NFL qb. See Jamarcus Russel.

Or, it is those mean old white owners that are holding him down.

Or, NFL is all about advertising dollars and cannot afford that bad press. This is the funniest option, partially because i think it is the most likely one. ESPN, which has become more and more political, will give peopl like Colin air time day and night. Yet they will stand to lose as much viewership as anyone not named NFL. Libs eating their own is great!

Or, he is not a very good qb. Oh, i said that already. Figured i would say it again because it is true.
