They've wanted a crackdown for years. It's not about whether there's demand for it,
I am just curious to what they plan on cracking down on. The vast majority of the cost drugs is in the risk of transporting it in the USA. The current strategy seems to stop from coming in, but cartels couldn't give a frick if a few shipments get lost cause the raw cost is so slow to them. How long have we been doing this and how little has the cost changed?
Weed has gotten cheaper since its become legalized, and the rest have largely just adjusted with inflation. That's the true mark of how ineffective the WOD has been. For all their work, I can still find an 8ball for a reason price if I wanted to.

"reasonable"
Have you ever been to a source country?

One other thing how Sessions credibly argue that the Transgender stuff was "federal overreach" but cracking down on an established industry which brings in 100 million dollars in State Tax revenue is well within the purview of the federal government. This seems like blatant hypocrisy on behalf of "states rights" types
Really makes you want to stop the world and get off, sometimes.

Thats an interesting way of looking at it, but I hope the publicity is raised and law is changed without Trump cracking down.
No one will care until store fronts get broken and people arrested for what's a legal activity in a state.

I would have thought Trump would be more evolved on the issue or have bigger priorities for the DOJ...but this is mainly fricking Sessions.
Trump is going to let Sessions do whatever he wants to do.

but was non-committal and somewhat scary wen discussing recreational MJ that is legal at the state level.

Just another part of Making (the cartels in South and Central) America Great Again.

With that reasoning why not reinstate Prohibition?
It was the bottle that killed his older brother not the needle or the bong.

Federal agents busting a pot dispensary in a place like LA or Denver would be really heavy handed and bad optics imo.

Tax weed and fund healthcare

Colorado just collected $100 million in sales tax related to MJ sales. That's as much as LA just stole from the rainy day fund to fix the budget. How is marijuana NOT a big deal to you?
Last time we listened to the degenerates to legalize sin we got trashy casinos and trashy lotto. The roads and schools are still shitty
At least no one ever died from gambling like people have from drugs

But Trump is a teetotaler, and we know for a fact Trump has made emphatic statements about keeping drugs out of the country. It is what it is.

Using none of those makes you a criminal. Is way past time MJ was legal.
Nothing at all wrong with it. Only illegal because it's been illegal as long as anyone can remember. If he takes away legal pot, Democrats will win in 2020. Book it.

If Trump wants to lose reelection, he will let Jeff Sessions go ape shite on legal weed states.
Legal weed is a minefield and has a lot of bipartisan support for it and the Trump administration needs to be careful with how they deal with it but they could just leave it alone.

Weed and the WoD is one of the biggest drivers of the police state and erosion of the 4th and 8th amendments. It needs to be rolled back. it's directly tied into border security and national security as well.

Doesn't MJ hugely influence everything above.
Especially taxes?

Has Sessions issued any statements on when he will stop rec MJ?
Posted on 2/24/17 at 9:30 am to matthew25
So it looks like Trump lied during the campaign?
