So I took my very liberal lawyer Aunt to the SC vs Auburn women's game tonight

I've mentioned her before.
Tonight they gave her a signed basketball and honored her, everyone wanted their picture with her ... but anyways.
She's a living legend. 4'9" tall, about 90 pounds soaking wet.
97 years old.
Was in Law School at SC during WWII.
She is so far left I have no idea how we came from the same gene pool ... because I am a deplorable in my 60s - but she and I have had some interesting conversations over the decades and I respect the hell outta the old gal. She's one of a kind.
My oldest daughter took after her and is now a UCB law grad living in California with her idiot producer husband ... we don't talk anymore.
Anyways, long story short.
My Aunt, her papers now secure in the Thomas Cooper Library and her legacy as a female civil rights and women's right pioneer in this state being legend ... she still speaks in front of crowds weekly that flock to see her and hear her opinions. Against my beliefs, she spoke in front of a crowd of 1000s urging us to lower the Confederate flag ... I totally disagreed with her on that but I understand the logic of it all and realized it was a losing battle.
I met Ruth Bader Ginsberg twice with her, and ate dinner with Sandra Day O'Conner in Charleson ... because of her. Friends of hers.
She specialized, naturally, in Constitutional Law and they are probably going to name, at the very least, a wing of our Law Library after her one day soon.
So tonight it's just her and me at the ballgame. We beat Auburn, but during the game the ruling comes down on my phone and I show it to her ... and she just shakes her head.
So I leave it alone. She gets honored, people are coming from all directions to shake her hand, have their picture taken with her, etc. We're not talking politics, she and I. This is another night of hers to be recognized for her life's work and convictions.
But on the way home we have this tradition she and I ... we stop at Sonic and grab some chow and sit in the car and talk about whatever.
Long story short ... she flat out told me tonight, this country is in a mess when the 9th Circuit Court, no matter how much she hates Trump ... the country is in real mess, in real danger, when the 9th Circuit Court gets one like this so blatantly wrong.
She said there is no defending it - a first year law student would get this one right and there is no defending what has happened.
She goes back to the FDR days - she's seen a lot of major squabbles over court decisions and appointees both. She absolutely says this one is indefensible. They got it wrong ... on purpose.

So you talk to your way to the left aunt but not your own daughter? You may have bigger issues you should be dealing with rather than this decision which is beyond your control and quite frankly has zero real impact on your life.

Did you ask her if she believed the EO was written correctly?
What did she say...

I always love how you subtle brag on yourself.
Then tell a boring story about something that ends up with you qualifying your fears and your bug out shelter.
That is quintessential SCRooster.

The activists want to dictate their way. Next they will sue Trump for breathing and impeach and remove him; from the bench because they say so. That is how badly they made things backwards.

Meh, some here don't care to be doxxed.
SFP doesn't care that people know who he is.

I'm stunned that hasn't bit him in the arse yet.

Honestly, scrooster is good people. Even if he's a self aggrandizing old man.
I still think he'd be one hell of a guy to kick it with on a Saturday night in the fall.
He's got stories, I like stories.

Yeah, I already found a nice article about the old lady. Confirmed: she is old as dirt. In a good way.

Let me get this straight, OP comes and shares a pretty cool story, then.., he's a bad parent, he shouldn't out himself, story was entirely too long(took all of 3 minutes to read) and he brags too much. Only on the poli board
