Didn't the feds threaten to withhold monies from La. if they didn't raise their drinking age to 21 a few years back? This is the same thing with these safe cities.
Except Louisiana lives in mama and daddy's basement so they have to live by mama and daddy's rules....California IS mama and daddy....
Assuming you are a self sufficient adult what would you do if your mama and daddy came to you and told you not to stay out past curfew? You'd probably tell them it is cute of them to still see you as a child but as a self sufficient adult you will respectively have to decline. That is California. If, on the other hand, you still living under their roof, as Louisiana is, then you would have to either comply or get out and become like California and be self sufficient....

Not really. The raising the drinking age thing was/is a clear violation of the 10th Amendment because the federal government forced a state to change state law thereby creating a de facto national drinking age. Immigration law is federal, so the federal government would be well with its right to pull the plug until California complies.

some of the shite you right wingers post on here is just fricking stupid.
First off, local and state law enforcement dont have authority to enforce federal immigration laws, hence the term federal. They are under no obligation to seek out immigration status information. Period.
Secondly, California is the 5th largest economy on the planet but yeah lets turn off Federal money and impose sanctions with one of our own.
Cant wait to see how many of you dumbasses agree with the OP

It is fitting because most of you on the right are childlike....you believe in magical beings like God and Santa Clause, when you don't get your way you make up shite like "Obama's justice department conspired to keep Clinton out of jail" or "the mean girl hit me first when she hit me back" and you have to come up with ways you are being treated unfairly...."the media is against my candidate" or "I only had 4 weeks to get that 500 word essay done...it isn't fair"....
Stop acting like children, be financially responsible for yourselves and no one will be able to smash you ole sore pussy again by calling you a child.....

So I am guessing you would have California pay for the military bases in their boundaries and the military would have to kind of guess what their funding would look like? Or is it more practicle for the military to send California a bill and then spend the money when recieved as the military experts see fit? I understand that you suffer from ADD but surely you have something other than a chuckle to offer???

You Texicans are a special breed of stupid.
Which States Are Most Prepared?
quote:
Alaska, West Virginia, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Wyoming are the top five most prepared states for the next recession, based on the ability of their respective rainy day funds to cover any expected revenue shortfalls. Each of these states is prepared to cover its entire revenue shortfall in well over 75 percent of expected recession scenarios using its rainy day fund.
Hint Texas is in the top 30 though
Educate yourself here Texan

wow. You got the gov. How would they ever get over the issue of increases in deductibility for state taxes? It would be impossible. Just admit you had no idea how the numbers you parrotted were calculated.
Look California isn't getting cut off. But do you think the fed gov is the one at risk if they did is silly. California would use the tax code against he fed gov. Hmmm. Wonder what they would do. Let that slide....or change the code???

No my friend they take money from the state and spend it on military bases in the state...as well as other federal programs and projects...and the state benefits greatly from the transaction....just try to close a military base in any state and watch the whining from the state....
The federal government collects money and spends it on federal shite...some of that shite is in each state....some states get more than they send to washington...most of the red states do this...California does not get more back than they send....

Um, no.

They don't have to help, but they also have no right to obstruct. If they have someone in custody who is wanted on a federal warrant they should honor that warrant.
