The California legislature seems hell bound to defy Federal law regarding Sanctuary Cities, immigration policies in general, and several other Federal mandates.

It might be time to turn off the Federal money until California gets back in line.

It's interesting that California is one of the main drivers in squashing states' rights...until it fits their agenda.

If he does California will simply turn off the spigot to Washington and Washington will lose money...a lot of money...in the process.

Um, the spigot isn't in California. California, Texas, Florida and New York are the faucet for the rest of the country.

Yeah, um, no they cannot unless they actually secede.

Florida and Texas aren't even in the running..California, New York, Mass. These are the states funding the federal government. Texas is either a penny ahead or behind every year...it fluctuates but never by more than a penny or so on the dollar and Florida is a net recipient of federal taxes every year....

Horse shite. California is a gigantic mess. Half a trillion in debt, don't even have their own water, can't secure their border.

So, you think one state can bring the other 49 to it's knees.

Damn you're dumb.

Didn't the feds threaten to withhold monies from La. if they didn't raise their drinking age to 21 a few years back? This is the same thing with these safe cities.

California sends more to the Washington in Taxes than they receive back in federal funding every year. It's a simple fact.

It's ironic that the states that get the most back from Washington compared to what they pay in taxes are the deepest red states.

And that has exactly zero relevance to this thread and OP's question.

The citizens of California pay more in income tax than the state receives is what you meant to say, right?

And you should look up the definition of irony.

Yes he should. Would give the MSM a herring to chase, would not hurt him politically in Cali, would send a signal to other states and be the right thing to do. Well...since the Civil War ended the republic anyway

I don't think every city in California is a sanctuary city.

The Feds shouldn't be taking in money just to give it back in the first place.

Yes. They get back approximately .80 for every 1.00 they pay in federal taxes.
