Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday that his Justice Department will "pull back" from suing police departments for violating minorities' civil rights, according to an NBC report.

"We need, so far as we can, to help police departments get better, not diminish their effectiveness. And I'm afraid we've done some of that," Sessions said during a meeting with attorneys general from across the country.

"So we're going to try to pull back on this," he continued.

Sessions said the decision is not "wrong or insensitive to civil rights or human rights." Instead, he said, the federal government must help police combat violent crime in poor and minority communities.

I think we are really going to regret Sessions as AG

I'm not for going after police departments for nothing okay. But when police are holding people without phone calls, and holding them in jail without charges I got to say something. There are a bunch of dirty departments that need reform. I'm not talking about Eric Holder's BS either.

You Dems might be shocked at this but the answer to problems isn't always to sue everyone at the drop of a hat.

Nope ... we're good.

Glad to be rid of Holder and Lynch.

America is much better off now.

Seriously ask yourself, was the Justice Department, in any imaginable way, working to protect individuals 4th Amendment Rights?

Or were they soliciting black criminals for politically motivated hits in the name of Social Justice?

I'm not calling anyone a racist. Sessions knows there are civil rights violations out there that need to be addressed. It's just not a priority now for Justice Dept..

Yep. He's far more concerned with protecting the police.
