There's a legitimate scientific argument to be made. The evidence isnt nearly as overwhelming as many claim, but man driven climate change isnt without any scientific backing.
Its an issue that both sides politicize and 98% (completely made up number) have no understanding whatsoever of the science.

I live with a scientist. I know all her colleagues. I've never met one of them who doesn't explode when someone suggests that global warming isn't science.

It is a science. But although it is related to several hard sciences, it itself really isn't one. It's a science in its infancy, something like macro-econ. Seems like both need a gigantic dose of humility administered- they speak their conclusions with far too much certainty.

If they'd fire a professor for that, they'd burn a study that challenges anthropogenic Global Warming.
