I'm not saying he's personally at fault, although in light of this news, that will at least be suggested. I must say though, imagine what it would be like if this happened under Obama.
quote:

U.S. military officials told Reuters that Trump approved his first covert counterterrorism operation without sufficient intelligence, ground support or adequate backup preparations.

As a result, three officials said, the attacking SEAL team found itself dropping onto a reinforced al Qaeda base defended by landmines, snipers, and a larger than expected contingent of heavily armed Islamist extremists.

The Pentagon directed queries about the officials' characterization of the raid to U.S. Central Command, which pointed only to its statement on Wednesday.

"CENTCOM asks for operations we believe have a good chance for success and when we ask for authorization we certainly believe there is a chance of successful operations based on our planning," CENTCOM spokesman Colonel John Thomas said.

I believe this has already been covered but, if I remember correctly, he just signed off on a mission put together by the Obama admin

By far my biggest concern with Trump is stuff like this, and what he will do if and when something like this creates an international incident which could quickly spiral out of control.

Posted here twice and both times they forget to post this:

A White House official said the operation was thoroughly vetted by the previous administration and that the previous defense secretary had signed off on it in January. The raid was delayed for operational reasons, the White House official said.

I wonder why?

this just does not sound believable to me. Trump is not planning these raids.

Acc to the article, the Obama admin decided not to go forward with it, in large part due to inadequate intel

Every president will sign off on botched missions. It's unavoidable.

Well the left believe Obama personally killed Bin Laden, so that might help your insight to the liberal mind.

Do you people really think Trump planned and executed a raid like this within a day? This was planned for months by Obama.
