Making a move at an officer? Did we watch the same video?
He had no knives in his hands when he was walking down, cooperating with police. They decide to flashbang him anyway, which is when he pulls a knife. He then turns away from police, and they decide that's a good time to fire at him.

I lived in Albuquerque for about 6 months last year. I swear it seemed like APD was shooting someone at least once a month.

The Anchorage PD recently changed their policies in regarding the use of lethal force against unarmed civilians. Think about that.
Police aren't there to protect the innocent, they are there to protect themselves at virtually any cost.

Trust me When I see a justified shooting I will be the first to say it. You on the other hand can't you are hard wired to defend the us or them mentality that the cops display constantly. I wonder if rogue cops like this actually get the satisfaction they expected they would after finally having the opportunity to fire their weapon into human flesh? How long does it last? Does it make them want more,more,more or does it curb their appetite for killing go away?
I mean, everybody knows that a man wielding two case pocketknife at several fully armed and body armored men needs to be shot....right? Sure a taser coupled with pepper spray and strength in numbers couldn't have subdued this evil villain. Maybe they had info we don't? Like that he had super natural powers and was getting ready to shoot lightning bolts from his finger tips at them?

I've investigated shootings before........and thats a bad shooting.
Even though he has knives in his hands, with the terrain, number of officers, and dog, its gonna be hard to justify that.
The only way you can justify that is if you thought he was turning to pick up a gun, and that would be a stretch.
I would expect the AG's office or Feds to look into this shooting.
