Obamacare site won't be fixed in time

What do you know... They were wrong AGAIN

quote:

Software problems with the federal online health insurance marketplace, especially in handling high volumes, are proving so stubborn that the system is unlikely to work fully by the end of the month as the White House has promised, according to an official with knowledge of the project.

The insurance exchange is balking when more than 20,000 to 30,000 people attempt to use it at the same time — about half its intended capacity, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to disclose internal information. And CGI Federal, the main contractor that built the site, has succeeded in repairing only about six of every 10 of the defects it has addressed so far.

Obama could always deem it fixed and tell everyone to fax in their application.

Its kind of like they didn't heed the warning or fully test it before launch

btw, can't wait to hear Cho, or whatever his name is, tell the oversight committee today that there was an internal memo stating major security flaws a week prior to launch. His pre-hearing submittal to congress says that he was not pass along that info and he wouldn't have given the green light to go live if he had known

In other words, this is such a cluster that they need the same tactic they used to salvage the reconstruction of Iraq.

The glitches

with the biggest one not being the website but the flawed architecture of the entire law.

Even if the website is working, it won't solve the sticker shock and the math does not add up with lack of enrollees.

No way, someone said we would grow to LOOOOVVVVEEEE Odramacare once it was up and running, in a decade or two we will wonder what all the fuss was about? Some people have been deepthroating Odrama for so long they can't see straight.

Sometimes in the heat of political debate it is easy to forget that millions of people are going to be or are getting hurt right now.

What's going to happen when a 99%er loses his or her insurance because it's "noncompliant", can't afford a "compliant" plan, and can't get the subsidies because Obumble was incapable of handling this newfangled technology called a website?

Then they get hurt or get sick in early January before it's fixed...

Just more commercial ammo for the opponents

Can run video of O and his goons saying "The website will be fixed by Nov" and then the headlines in early Dec that the website is still down.

Yep.

The most powerful ads will be the ones with working class people sitting around the table trying to figure out how to pay for the "good" plans and saying "the old plan took care of everything we needed..why the need for a change?"

Which means the idiot R's will never run those ads.

Ask Kirsten Powers, democrat, she'll tell you. On the FOX Report last night she told how her insurance had been cancelled because it not being up to code. She was pissed. She was ripping Obocare pretty good.

I wish everybody could see my shocked face.

I mean, I would've bet good money that a former community organizer would've been able to get this done.

Understand that these are folks who've maintained plans all their lives, and are now kicked off. They are wired about it. As Joe Biden said, "This is a BFD!"

. . . . and it dose not even touch on the exchange programs being Medicaid-lite. Virtually none of the folks scrambling to get coverage understand the shotty nature of the coverage their pursuing. At least not yet.

It is a sad mess.

They either would forget to turn the fax machine on or not have a phone line hooked to it.

re: Obamacare site won't be fixed in time
You mean access to the site won't be fixed in time. Once they get that sorted out, they get to tackle the serious glitches. People don't seem to realize this. What the O-man and friends have done is released the Alpha version of a video game as the retail copy. They have completely skipped the Beta testing. This shite is going to take a year to actually fix.
