Lets face it the kid wasn't innocent by any means and was going to kill the officer. That is the truth and this thug got what came to him.

I think the vast majority of posters here have plenty of empathy for anyone who loses a child or any loved one. I know I do. But it doesn't extend to misdirected anger and demands for unwarranted punishment/lawlessness afterward.

This is where young African Americans such as yourself need to take a stand against this kind of bull shite. Sitting on the sidelines and enabling this behavior is not acceptable. There is a big problem with our youth today and that includes black male on black male crimes.

Well said....and I think that this is beginning to happen. I saw several interviews this morning of some people from the black community....and they were standing up for what is right....problem is....the media gives them little if any exposure. It doesn't fit the narrative.

We'll workshop the name

I think BlackHelicopterPilot has a leg up on me in that particular campaign, though

I chafe at the assertion that black people have some hive mentality when it comes to social mores/how to live. It's 2014. We come from a myriad of backgrounds and persuasions. Don't tell me it's "convenient" for me to deny the existence of some mythical "black community" when black people in some corner of the country act out on principles that I and the majority of black people I know don't condone in the slightest, you know?

Disgusting image.....but if the woman had taken the correct path and channeled her grief into effort to keep other young men from acting like an idiot and paying the ultimate price for his poor decision making no one would have heard her doing so. This reaction will play for years...if she had done the right thing there is a pretty good chance there wouldn't have been a link on this or many other boards, and it is for certain that she wouldn't get the attention in the coming month that this video will get for many years to come.

Yeah I forgot about BHP (rough morning I walked out and left my coffee on the kitchen table ). You could be the #2 guy.

Still got nothing (that wouldn't get me banned) on the name.

I am just using the term aa community because that is what media and politicians use to describe. I know you and BHP and others don't condone what was being done, but unfortunately most will stay silent and left the fringe idiots speak for you.

IMO the black ppl that have their head on straight need to do a better job of getting yourselfs heard. I believe that yall are losing the battle to the idiots and the race baiters.

If my son had robbed a convenience store and assaulted a cop and was killed in the process, I would be upset but I would not be out encouraging this shite and taing advantage of it to make a quick buck.

The problem is, the attention will always swing towards the vocal minority that lives to act out. And it doesn't help that there are those (Jackson/Sharpton, et al) who are adroit at maximizing said cacophony for their own personal advancement.

I would be upset with myself and my son the most. It would fall on me first then him. Most of this stems from a lack of parenting and understanding of personal responsibility. Too much outward blame here, ttell woman wanting revenge needs to only look in the mirror for who to seek.

All about criminal ' s rights and saying frick you to the cop out there serving and protecting every day. I honestly don't see how they put up with all the negative bullshite.

Cops do their job, people bitch and throw them under the bus. Cops don't do their job, people bitch and throw them under the bus. Its a lose/lose situation and it's sad.

truth

I am a dad and I hate to see any parent mourn the loss of a child regardless how the child died, a loss is a loss and it's massive and it goes against our desire to outlive our own children. I've attended a funeral one time of a family we know from church who lost their 6 year old little girl to a very rare disease.

The most piercing cries are the cries of a father that echo through the church. I will never forget that sound as long as I live.

with that said,

I am trying to understand why the black community simply does not want to believe the actions of Brown were essentially suicidal. They don't believe he did what he did

I am sitting here, thinking, the testimony of the officers' version in the beginning were very likely the truth than some cover up...and it bared out right down the line according to the Prosecutors 30 minute summary of the facts and how it played out

The evidence will be made available.. Somehow, I doubt the black community will give one glance at it.

and the father. I would be willing to bet that the father didn't even know who Michael Brown was until the boy got killed.

Cops definetly have their faults (especially BRPD), but they due deserve respect for having to deal with that shite day in and day out.

I think that is a reason why they should welcom the body cameras. It gives them hard evidence that they didn't do what they wer accussed of. However, they will never support them because the few bad apples will be the loudest and the unions won't allow them.

Mmm huh. If you were on the receiving end of that *child* "demon" (Wilson's descriptor)...I'm sure you would be thinking *empathy*, TS.

We pay the Police to take these demons off the street so that civil society can move forward. Brown's mother is like the Muslims who take no responsibility or action against the acts of their Fundamentalist Brethren; they are enablers.

Am I wrong...did not Brown's mother hire a hit gang to rough up a group who was selling M. Brown t-shirts, and moving in on *her* copyright territory. The apple don't fall far from the tree.

Civil society/America has pretty much decided to let the heathen have their own community; they can live like hyenas and slaughter each other if they so choose. But the day that they decide to blame the good folk, and bring their poison to our community - and the Law (for whatever reason, Obama/Holder nws) don't protect us...will be the day that real justice and the turnaround begins.

And we walked on the moon. What a scene!

Most of this happened in / around the vehicle. Why wasn't there a dashcam with sound? That is hardly new technology and would have cleared this up.

I wish in an ironic twist of fate that the cops would use this video to find that guy on stage with her who was chanting "BURN THIS shite DOWN" and indict him with inciting a riot.

Dash cam was on but the action happend on the side of the vehicle (IIRC) and his mic was turned off since he was assaulted when he wasn't expected it and wasn't a "stop."

Face it, lady. Your son was a thug who assaulted a police officer and paid the price.
