I grew up on a hardline First Pentecostal pew and one thing I remember hearing taught was that this would happen. Heck the Bible spells out that it would happen pretty plainly. People give them a lot of grief, and a lot rightly so, but they stick to their guns. Maybe they’ve changed over the years since I’ve been gone but I doubt it.

I was raised old school Evangelical Lutheran complete with a German Pastor. Raised all of my children the same way.

I’m working on a paper (that may become a book, who knows?) on post-Christian America and whether we have reached it or not.

Organized denominations are fading away. The “church” of division through denomination is dead.

My personal favorite is from the Gospel of Thomas, not in your Bible: "the Kingdom of God is within you and all around you. It is not within buildings of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and you will find me. Look beneath a stone and I am there."
We don't need million dollar buildings and preachers making millions to know God and Jesus. Just my 2 cents.
