Now watch this and remember its Sept 25th, 2 weeks after Benghazi...LINK

Now, it was our own state dept that came up with the video idea, as cover for the Cairo protests..

Obama, Carney, Hilary, Susan Rice...they're all lying scumbags.

They remind me of the old story about the lawyer defending a client whose dog was accused of biting someone. The defense went like this:

“First, I don’t believe the defendant was really bitten. Second, my client's dog doesn’t bite. Third, my client's dog was tied up that night. And finally, my client doesn't have a dog.”

That's what these lying scumbags sound like.

Be clearer: you are saying the white house anticipated a non-video protest and disseminated the video to cover that one up?

It looks like they were amazingly lucky that the AQ types didn't launch an onslaught of additional protests and attacks. That would have helped make it clear that something was going on that had nothing to do with the video.

Your overall point about what went on in Cairo that day is one I have specifically made on this forum several times over a period of about a year now. I strongly disagree with only one thing - that the Cairo protests had "zero" to do with the video. My previous post in this thread made reference to "Part 1" and "Part 2" of the Cairo demonstrations on Sept. 11th. Part 1 was the long-planned Blind Sheik- related demonstration that was attended by his brother and a number of Al-Qaeda backers and members of the Muslim Brotherhood. It was for the most part peaceful. Part 2 was piggybacked onto that demonstration as a partial result of the many tweets from the American Embassy in Cairo which helped to spread word about the video, thus providing political cover for the Part 1 demonstration planned as a 9/11 anniversary anti-American affair. The Part 2 group consisted of many of the so-called "soccer hooligans" who can be seen in many photos not looking angry but celebrating their fellow demonstrators' breach of the Embassy's walls. Short form, had there been no video at all, there would still would have been a long-planned major anti-American Sept. 11th demonstration at the U.S. Embassy - an event which would have looked bad in terms of the success of the Arab Spring, especially in view of the administration's (and the Ambassador's) support for Mursi. Hillary had just been in Cairo 7 weeks earlier in a show of support for the incoming Muslim Brotherhood government. The video played right into the hands of the Administration even BEFORE the attack in Benghazi a few hours later. And from that very night onward, they extended its role automatically to Benghazi as a matter of strategic deflection of the truth.

You must be a rocket scientists, NH.

It's hard to believe that any of us can still be astounded or outraged that the Obama Adm. would blatantly LIE for political gain. Or that they would employ the IRS to tamp down political organizations which oppose them. Or harass Media. Or attempts for voter validation. Or secure our borders. Or....aw hell...ya'll know the score.

Attempts at herding cats...is herding cats.

Like I said, the video excuse was our Own White Houses excuse to cover the Al Queda protest in Cairo....We fed it. Now imagine if the video excuse did cause a protest that killed our guys............Think about that!!! We would have then instigated the death of our own guys, if that narrative was true....

It would still be the crazy terrorists. I wouldn't think that the US instigated anything in either case.

Lying and filibustering everything.
Even the Dem Powers just said that Carney is crazy. The memo talks about casualties, which happened no where else. Every question on the talk shows to Rice was about Benghazi...Dems turning now...

(Sorry for the delay in answering, I just came to the site a few minutes ago.)

First, no, I am definitely not saying the White House disseminated the video . I AM saying that on Sept. 11th, BEFORE the first protestors arrived for Part 1 of the day's demonstrations, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo issued the first of several tweets from its web site urging Egyptians not to react badly to the video, thus calling lots of attention to a video that most in Cairo had not even known about , a video that had been slowly circulating via the internet for about 62 hours after first being shown on a Cairo satellite broadcast over the weekend.

As for whether the White House "anticipated" a non-video protest, of course it did. It was all over the Egyptian press for weeks that there would be a Sept. 11th protest at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, organized by pro-Al Qaeda militants, to call attention to their demands that the Blind Sheik be released from a U.S. prison. .So "anticipate" is not the right word - they KNEW the demonstration was going to be held that afternoon. The State Dept. knew it. The Mursi government knew it. It was common knowledge in Cairo.

Facing the potential embarrassment of a large crowd of anti-American demonstrators on Sept. 11, in a nation with a brand new Muslim Brotherhood government in power, which was highly praised by the American ambassador, they got out in front of what might come later in the day by calling everyone's attention to the video, thus regardless of how big a crowd attended or the potential actions of that crowd, the attention in the American media would be focused on the video as the cause, not the pre-planned Al Qaeda linked demonstration. The video angle fell into their lap, the proverbial gift that kept on giving.

As events transpired in Cairo later that day, the American media focused exclusively on the video, and completely ignored the pre-planned anti-American demonstration which was piggybacked by the anti-video crowd which gathered as the word of the video spread throughout the city and surrounding areas.

Mission accomplished, or so they thought - until Benghazi surprised them, and extending the blame on the video to those events as well fell nicely into place.

After I retired a couple of years ago and my wife became ill (at about the same time), I had too much time on my hands here at home. Being a political junkie since the Kennedy-Nixon election, I followed all things political closer than ever. When Benghazi happened, I developed a strong interest in the topic from Day One. Since then, it has become my "job" in a sense. I average about 30-35 hours a week on the topic and have the entire time. It's not an "obsession", as someone on this board would have you believe, it's an area of strong interest. I have an investigative and analytical background and a ton of patience. I stay away from lunatic fringe sources and double and triple check everything I put forth. Nothing I post about Benghazi comes from internet rumor or gossip. Guess that's a long way (more than you wanted to know) of saying "no" to your question.

How many times did Carney regurgitate the memory of GWB today? I saw at least once.
