Much more sense than any of the shitholes we’ve tried to rebuild in the last 30 years.

I don’t think any Puerto Rican’s are gonna strap a vest bomb on and run into a Red Cross tent.

That is interesting. Maybe my pulse on where Puerto Ricans are moving to is outdated and probably applies to Dominicans more so now

or we can always move Guantanamo there

We shut down Rosie Roads......

GTMO is all about being a thorn in the side of Castro. There is no strategic reason for us to maintain a naval base there.....it's all about fricking with Castro. After Sandy the draft limitations alone make GTMO useless for anything other than a prison and a coast guard / dea post

And Cuba wouldn't have it any other way. Cuba has a ready made example of their being victims of the imperialists. If we started packing up they beg us to stay.....

They are our fellow U.S. citizens so this is not even a matter of debate.

How many billions got pissed away to try to rebuild Louisiana after Katrina?

FIFY, and is part of the reason the question is being asked.

They're just Mexicans, illegally sneaking in all the time.

Makes more sense than rebuilding New Orleans after Katrina. At least PR has pretty beaches and mountains.

Sometimes you can't worry about the cost when all those people could use our help. I have been fortunate to meet a good bit of Puerto Ricans in my life, some in the military most just regular folk, who came to Louisiana and gave their time and missed their families and dealt with our flood victims, alot who weren't very nice to them. I think they deserve our best effort to help them rebuild.
