Boss was cancelled despite really good reviews, and the show wasn't even slanted.
Boss was one of the best shows on television that no one was watching.

And the article itself is ridiculous, calling the decision corporate fascism and insisting the salary cost is not valid and it must be political. Yet, deadline reported 3 years ago that Allen's salary was an issue. 2014: Negotiations
Yet, declining ratings, significantly more costs, but it must be political.
quote:And somehow it also makes this conclusion while noting this:
Further squeezing the license fee for the show may be problematic for the studio as star Tim Allen commands a six-figure per-episode pay check.
quote:So ABC had been dealing with costs issues for years, but kept it going, and next season it has to start covering production costs.
After six seasons, the ABC broadcast network is contractually required to cover the cost of producing the show. Until now, Last Man Standing had been produced and paid for by 20th Century Fox TV before being licensed for broadcast to ABC.
Yet, declining ratings, significantly more costs, but it must be political.

Never heard of the show. What makes it Trump friendly?
The jokes were simple and required no critical thinking.
But for real, I'm sure ABC was always nervous about being tied to a coke fiend like Tim Allen, and then his insane comments comparing Hollywood to Nazi Germany probably didn't help.

Some other network will pick it up. AMC, FX, CMT, etc.

s that what this is? What exactly is the principle involved?
Sounds as if you think it's being true to a political agenda.

I found it very...unfunny
I just thought it was generic. It could have been called Sitcom.

It's Tim Allen. It's dumb humor for simpletons.

Come on man. The cocaine arrest was in 1978. ABC made tons of money off Tim Allen with Home Improvement in the 90's for 8 seasons. He's also made 3 Santa Clause movies which are played on repeat on what was ABC Family every December.
Plenty of arguments to make. That was not one of them.

You stated
"if the firing was political"
Implying that A) Allen was fired and B) that the firing isn't up to debate, only the reasoning behind it. So yes, using the wrong word matters.
Words are hard.
You're a pompous, know-it-all a$$.
So let's put your word in.
"So if cancelling the show was political"...
That change makes no difference in the context of the discussion of a political motive of cancelling the show.
You're a small-fry a-hole who picks at irrelevant crap to try to make yourself look important on a message board.
You're pitiful.

It's being replaced by a show where all Republicans are rounded up and placed in concentrations camps, before being gassed in ovens.
ABC envisions it as a sitcom.
Sounds like alternative reality fantasy.
What ABC wanted to happen if Hillary had won.
