Sad to see it go.
The male lead definitely had a conservative view of things but I thought that his conservative stance was well balanced by his children, who were millennial liberals .
I almost recommended it to the Poliboard, because I thought that, overall, it gave a very balanced treatment of current political views.
Plus, is a pretty funny show. Re-runs are on the Hallamark channel.

Look, if the firing was political we will find out soon.
No one was fired. The series wasn't renewed. That's a pretty big difference.

NBC or CBS will scoop Tim Allen up for a new show. It will be obvious.
Just like Kelsey Grammer, right? Boss was cancelled despite really good reviews, and the show wasn't even slanted. Only Grammer was outspoken on politics.

Because this board is full of crackpot conservative posts like this one and over the top negative posts directed at liberals.

The show was cancelled. That means everyone was fired.

Can somebody post the picture of the man on the walkie talkie saying shut it down

So a corporation putting principles before money? That would be refreshing.

The fact that you think that's what that means, is telling of your intelligence. Do you have to be a partisan hack about everything in your life?

The article that you linked...wow...

How is that partisan? If a television show gets cancelled, everyone who works on it loses their job. That isn't political. And i'm not partisan. If anything I'm contrarian.

Television is contractual. You are only fired if you break that contract via the terms. If a show is not renewed or cancelled, then no one is fired. They are still paid out what is owed to their contract. If you are fired, then you violated the terms of your contract, ergo, you are not entitled to the rest of your salary.... see the difference, mouth breather?

Not a poster on this board believes that.

Okay then excuse me. I used a word wrong. My bad.
And I don't really care what you believe. I know what I believe. And I've also never voted for a Democrat. Keep trying though.

IDK if the OPs heading is fair, the sitcom may have had good ratings for its time slot, but very likely bad ratings for the amount of money they were putting into the show. I know Tim Allen isn't an A-lister, but he is a TV icon that had a run with a highly successfully family sitcom and a string of popular movies. I have to imagine that this was purely a business decision, the cost to make the show was to much to be put into that time slot.

In addition, Tim Allen is probably the only one on that show that has an inked long term contract. Younger actors aren't granted that unless they become an integral part to the show. So they get paid, either per episode or per season. Tim Allen is a big enough name that he earns contractual pay on sitcoms.

Careful, you may get called partisan for not agreeing with the Trumpers. Since that's how this board works.

How old are you? You post as if you have never dealt in real world business before.

Yeah, I used the wrong word. He didn't get fired. Did that really change anything about the conversation? Was that really a big deal?
