Sweet. Confirms my theory that he was trolling Romney the whole time. Wanted to make Mitt kiss his arse and eat his own words. I bet his tears taste delicious.

Tillerson was a Jeb supporter and is a crony capitalist. He lives for corporate welfare.

An interesting observation I've made throughout these picks is what liberals consider "the swamp".

private sector, tax paying business executives represent the swamp to liberals.

To conservatives, the swamp is the career political class banking millions off of the tax payer without so much as a feigned attempt at representative governance.

It's very telling.

I don't think that's the issue to be made...XOM has/had a major interest in Russia that got blown up by the Ukraine sanctions. Can you see how a case for a conflict of interest could be made?

His wiki page is suddenly fricking littered with Russia stuff. Someone even added a "Ties with Russia" sub heading. XOM of course does business all over the world, but some self appointed liberal truth minister decided to desecrate his page for the good of the glorious and temporarily deposed queen

This is your fake news

Trump if nothing else is a master at feeling the pulse of the country.

He is building a cabinet of corporate oligarchs but is smart enough to choose a few generals and steer the conversation that way.

I'd suggest buying a lot of ammunition and stockpiling food and water.

Nearly every CEO of a major corp is a "crony capitalist" that does not make him BFF's with Putin as many are suggesting in this thread.

They may be boody buddies in the end who knows but I have yet to see any evidence of it. In his job at Exxon He likely dealt with more foreign leaders that any SOS, not just Putin.

Terrible pick. A failed politician/successful surgeon in charge of HUD. A climate change denier in charge of the EPA. And an oil guy with close ties to Russia as SoS.

Would have voted 3rd party if I knew Trump was going to go full retard on us

This guy won't be confirmed by the senate. All Dems against and McCain will get the usual crowd to go against. Trump couldn't have given the Dems a better villain

It only takes a few GOP senators to stop his confirmation and McCain, Graham and Flake are the likely candidates to make noise stopping him.
