I don't care who hates who. My thoughts are independent of what side of our aisle loves or hates who.
I'm not cool with Putin at all. He's one of the most corrupt world leaders alive today. That's not up for debate either.
The last thing I'd ever want is a war with Russia. I just don't want us to have anything to do with him or prop him up as any sort of example other than to point at and explain to our children the evils of communism and men who try to govern the way he does.

I see nothing wrong with getting along with Russia. They are not the ones stealing our jobs and using massive cyber attacks to steal our secrets. They are not the ones that pretend to be our friends, and even after we fought two wars over them they still finance terrorism behind the scenes and manipulate oil prices to hurt our economy.
It makes sense to get along with someone that has as many nukes as we do, ease tensions with them and find some common ground to work together instead of aiming ICBM's at each other.

NPR was melting on it a moment ago. This black commentator was like "how can they pick these climate change deniers like this Exxon Mobil CEO?" The host had to be like: uhm, just because they work for an energy company does not make them a Climate Change skeptic. Perhaps you should do some research before you pigeon-hole him based on the company he works for.

Being buddy buddy with a murderous and tyrannical dictator like Putin is not a good thing at all. I don't want to go to war with Russia at all but I don't want to help Putin do the evil fricked up shite that does to his own people daily.
There needs to be a balance for our next secretary of state. I want someone who isn't raving and jonesing for WW3 with Russia to start yesterday but I don't want someone who willingly performs fellatio on Putin.
