Mr. Biden, 44 years old, decided to pursue military service relatively late, beginning the direct-commission process to become a public-affairs officer in the Navy Reserve in 2012. Because of his age—43 when he was to be commissioned—he needed a waiver to join the Navy. He received a second Navy waiver because of a drug-related incident when he was a young man, according to people familiar with the matter. Military officials say such drug waivers aren’t uncommon

So much for his political career.

I bet this gets less press than Bristol Palin's fight at a party a couple of weeks ago.

I can hear it now...
"The mishaps of the child of a VP are irrelevant. "
BUT...
"The mishaps of the child of a VP candidate from TWO elections ago is clearly news."

Yep. Nothing to see here folks.
Side note here, I have to laugh when I see people saying they couldn't vote for McCain because of Palin yet somehow Biden is better than her.
bullshite. Those two idiots practically cancel each other out.

Didn't one of his sons go to drug rehab a while back?
Posted on 10/16/14 at 8:44 pm to redandright
If Joe Biden was my dad I'd be taking drugs too.

No worries, I'm sure his gig on the board of the largest non governmental gas producer in Ukraine will pay handsomely.

That's because they are hypocrites and intellectually dishonest.

Wasn't his daughter into some drugs during her time at Tulane as well? I remember a lot of rumors floating around about her in 2008, but for some reason the press never really talked about it.

I think his daughter got her pic taken while pretty wasted during the first term.
Other brother had a mild stroke a few years ago, but I believe is planning on running for governor soon.

Seems like he'll actually fit right in with the current congress.

I'm thinking Hunter was hoping to do the same. That would explain entering the Navy in his 40s as a PAO.

The frick? Drug waiver's bad enough, but trying to get in at that age? Guy sounds like a fricking loser. PAO corps must've been unbelievably desperate.

He's the VPs son. No waiver system is beyond his privilege.
