That truly is the issue at hand. One weekend a month and two weeks of summer training. Honestly, this was not that hard to avoid.

But I do applaud him for signing up when he was much older.

What Biden's son has or has done
Doesn't concern me......

Now this might make Biden more worried while trying to do his job. But, at any given time, who doesn't have this problem? So this isn't a big deal to me, and I hope the Son gets the help he needs. Plus, if the Son wants to do Coke the rest of his life. He can knock himself out because it's not my business unless you harm others.

I wonder how many truly deserving, qualified, applicants got passed over so they could make room for this little turd.

In reading the article it seems a little fishy that he failed the test in the summer, June I think, of 2013 but yet was not fired until Feb. of this year. Where I use to work you got a letter in the mail 2-3 weeks after the test informing you of the results. If you failed you were immediately given discipline for the offense.

If politics weren't involved why did it take better than six months to give him his walking papers?

Ok. So who are we talking about here? Biden didn't serve honorably, so who's left? I never met an O-1 within 15 years of that age, unless they were prior enlisted.

A valid question. I am sure this received a bit more scrutiny because of the individual involved. A greater degree of caution. But in the end, the Navy Reserve enforced the standard and separated him. Kudos to them.

This time frame doesn't really surprise me with all of the bureaucracy involved. We've had folks kicked out of the USNR for dope and domestic battery who just seemed to linger around for a while until their papers come through, then one day they're simply gone. Heck, I see this one phat phuck waddling around Belle Chasse that the Navy's been trying to kick out since 2008 because he's a phat phuck. I have no idea why this guy is still in the Navy, and how he's been able to avoid an admin sep.

probably an enhancer for a dem. The same mental midgets that would tell you Ben Carson has no experience would vote for a "Biden" or "Clinton" or "Landrieu" because of name only, regardless of what they may or may not have done over the last decade.

uh yeah. What a waste. biden was really going places. He could have become a senator or maybe even vice president.

Yes I'm sure he joined the Navy at the age of 42, and became a PAO out of his patriotic fervor that was awakened after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

Dems do seem to have an unhealthy obsession with Political Dynasties. The Repubs, somewhat less but still some (Bush being an example).

He didn't serve honourably. He violated the trust the Navy gave him by snorting cocaine. It's just an assumption on my part but I think he was using this as a resume enhancer in case he decided to run for office. For these political families politics is as much of a business as going to work in the family grocery store.

BTW I hope the guy cleans up. He has children.
