I am just a spoiled millenial with an iPhone. Any boomers want to trade for a house or a well-paying job?

My little millennial is doing great. Voted for Trump, goes to college, plays softball for the school and has a job. Couldn't be prouder. Of course I understand exactly what you're getting at with a large number of these weaklings.

It is largely due to the auctioning off of this country to the highest bidder by Boomer globalists. The Left is continuing the decline.
Millennials did get fricked over, but people like Hillary and Bill Clinton did most of the fricking.
Yep. Boomers could drop out of high school and get a job that could buy them a house and they'd have free insurance and a retirement. Nowadays a millenial needs a phd and 5 years experience to get a job, except there are no jobs available because the boomers won't retire

Then I suggest these millennials do what we boomers did. Learn a skill or trade that makes them employable. It takes 4 months to get a roofer to your home, 3 months for a carpenter, weeks for a plumber, weeks for a surveyor and on and on and on.

all i want is the older people on TD to admit this
Let's see; graduated in '69, three children in college, worked full time in school, 5 yrs to grad, worked out of my field 3 yrs construction/oil field to make money to support family, then finally a break. 1974 making $10,600/yr with 4 kids, renting a house. Experience allowed upward move 1980 at age 34, kids now in early teen and grammar school.
Worked time I was 12 to 59.5 and retired. Saved like a pincher and minimal vacations. Two girls married engineers and two boys successful.
Are you still living in your mom's attic? Do you obey the law? Have you saved and bought something you need? Are you working while in school?
So point out how "I" had I so good at my age, other than not having a smart phone stuck up my arse all day long.

You can go back to 1981 with 20% interest rates and 3.25 an hour minimum wage all you want.
Houses were less expensive but interest rates put car and house notes damn dear what you'll pay for one now.
Have fun

$3.25 in 1981 would be $9.22 today. You'd throw a tantrum if we tried to raise it to that level today

Do you make min wage?
It's $9.75 in my state. Simple math tells me minimum wagers are better off today than 1981. Throw in benefits, they're far better off

50+ people have millennial kids. They are keenly aware of finances required for both generations, unlike someone in their 20s.

Trivia: Adjusted for inflation, our minimum wage today is actually higher than it was through much of the 80s and 90s and 50s.

Wow, cool story bro! Our fricking minimum wage has slightly increased over the past 80 years. Yep, you've convinced me, America is at its peak right now. Nothing else matters besides our GDP and economy.

She did a good job in the beginning ,but oversold it a little at the end. I give it a 7/10, solid troll job.

Admit that a lie you've been told to make you feel better is true?

What about it is a lie? Would you rather be coming out of college looking for a job then or now?
