Is there anyway to tell how an interview went?

Besides the obvious of the company offering you the job. Is there any way to tell how the interview went?

I ask because I had an interview a couple of weeks ago, they said they had 2 interviews the week after and would make a decision by the end of April. I think mine went well but it's hard to tell and a lot of interviewers are trained to make you think it you are doing a good job.

The reality is that it went well if you get an offer an if everything else falls into place.

In my experience, there is a lot of luck and chance involved in who gets offers. A lot of it is timing. Are you what they need when they need it?

Why don't you just call the interviewer and ask him or her???

I emailed or called my hiring manager and asked for feedback good or bad.

And I assume you didn't end your interview with "since this interview went so well, when can I expect to start?" Rookie mistake.

this, and a good bit of luck.

we are hiring people right now, and we have two candidates that are about equal in terms of how much we like them. its going to come down to who we enjoy working with more.

And who can wait 3 months for the job offer to come in, HR is slllllooooooowwwwwww

Judging by his insecure and passive attitude, he's probably already called a few times but hung up before getting the nerve to talk. No worries bro, you'll get'em next time.

I have received an offer for every single job I have ever interviewed for, which goes back 14 years now and spans 4 different employers. I could always tell the interview was going extremely well. The longest I had to wait for the offer was about 2.5 months.

ETA: I forgot about a job, so make that 5/5

I don't know, but I wish the engineer I interviewed with last week would let me know one way or another. I'm 90% sure he posts here.

I know my field and could run his office better than any of the other nine people he interviewed.

Not only that, the guy who interviewed after me drove a purple car.

I get to patiently wait for a few weeks I suppose.

I hate to call yet, hiring manager said to wait until the end of April. I was just curious to see if there was any way to gauge how I did in the interview. I'm exactly what they are looking for but I've learned that doesn't mean anything.

Did you get the secret handshake at the conclusion on the interview? If you did, you would know what I mean.

The first rule of the OT is you don't talk about the OT.

If I saw an interviewee posting here about an interview, I'd been unfavorably impressed.

Hire the female candidate because I hear you can pay them 30% less for the same work.

Hard to tell with how slow the fat middle aged women who work in HR are to come back with a response.

If it's gov't related you can expect a response in about 5 months.

Every time I have interviewed for a job, I have been able to successfully determine whether I would be contacted with an offer.

You know how it went and if you have doubts regarding how you interviewed, you should continue putting out applications.

I get restless. I don't like staying anywhere for too long. I like the challenge of someplace new.
