5 jobs in 14 years
If I saw this employment history on a resume, that applicant would not even make the screening for the initial phone interview.

Did they cross their arms and lean away from you?
Did you forget to ask them specific questions about the job and company?
Did you forget to follow up with a phone call and/or thank you note?
If your answer to any of those is yes, it didn't go well.
If there answer to more than one of those is yes, then you didn't get the job.

Isn't the average stay around 4 years now? And considering those 14 years covered two (major) recessions I don't see what the big deal is.
It's not 1963 anymore. Not too many factories to roll up to at age 20, work 35 years, get a gold watch and pension and retire.

No, no arm crossing or closed off body behavior. Everyone was relaxed, smiling and laughing.
No, I asked several specific questions about the job and company.
Nope, I sent a thank you/follow up the next day.

Damn, sorry bro. Usually if you don't feel like you connected with the interviewer and are confident going out of the meeting, you don't get the job.
You can't win em all, but I'm sure something else will come along.

Sometimes we continue with arranged interviews, even after deciding who to hire...
