I go one step further and add some ice packs to my insulated bag.

I do the same. I don't think it's OCD at all. I think it's a great idea. I keep insulated bags in the back of the SUV, lots of them in case I pick up something when I'm on the road and I always put the ice packs in before I hit the road.

I do this especially when seafood may be involved from the seafood market.

I hate having to rush to unload groceries, too. Another reason, I love Winter.

I concede this point.

Why would a recall collapse an entire company and make it cease to exist?

Debt structure. Lease obligations. Inability to meet payroll.

Not saying it's going to happen, but he asked a legit question, and there are reasons it might, so there is no need to be smug about it.

Bizarre. They sure do look like freshness dates to me. Must be some code for something I guess. I knew the letters represented the plant or I thought that's what they were.

Probably plant id and batch id. Maybe some other internal tracking as well.

One would assume a company like this would have good insurance covering business interruptions unless this event falls under an exclusion of some sort.

I ate Blue Bell and Taco Bell last week..........But not on the same day..........Guess which one was more unsettling to my stomach? (I still enjoy both.)

I have half a container of BB cookies and cream in the freezer..........There's a good chance I'm going to finish it..........I have suffered no adverse effects from the ice cream.
