visited Arlington today on the eastern shore of Virginia. It was the home of the Custis family whose daughters later married George Washington and Robert E Lee. Custis II and Custis IV are buried nearby. Pretty interesting history. The Loyalist Governor from Jamestown fled to Arlington to escape a militia uprising back in the day. There was some kind of battle on the Chesapeake and the local watermen support the loyalist who won. Not a historian but I fish for specs and redfish right there and didn't know the history
